Yeah, what happened with Cole at HT?

Also, what formation did we play? It's hard to speculate what Roy will start with when he has his full XI back but it'll be interesting to know anyway.

Was signing autographs and having his picture taken with a few fans.

A few duds in the team like Degan, but some really solid performances from the young guys, especially the professional defending of Ayala and Kelly.

For me Kelly and Ayala were stand out,and Gulacsi did enough to inspire confidence to become Pepe's replacement.

      ;D. a few, you mean 1.

      DEGEN.

As usual he flattered to deceive, was good going forward, except never releases the ball on time, and then does not track back. Lost count of the times nobody was at right back.

Good luck at your new club fella.

      Positives:
I could see the difference of Roy's tactics compared to Rafa's, defence was pushed up more to the half way line rather than Rafa's set up of putting the defence on the edge of Reina's box.

Amoo had a good game, has a lot of potential to be a star for LFC.

Ayala was rock solid at the back, one for the future or he might even get a few games this season, doubtful though.

      Negatives:

      Ngog

      Degen

I don't know I thought N'Gog looked lively, but my problem with that is, I don't expect him to look anymore lively in the first team. He was showing that he has experience, but I will be looking forward to the next friendly to see if he improves at all. Is the next friendly Saturday?

      Looked like a 4-4-1-1 formation.

Have only seen the first twenty minutes. Will watch the rest tonight, but for me the youth players were by far the more impressive. Amoo and Eccleston had some good pace and passes. Pity nobody got into the space ahead of them to capitalize. Wasn't impressed with Lucas and Aquilani at that point. Thought Aquilani was crocked again on six minutes. Darby put in some good crunching tackles. Kelly and Ayala were solid. We had a couple of good plays early on only for Degen to misplace passes each time in their box. Looking forward to seeing Cole signing autographs now. Nice touch that.

Looked to me like he went with the 4-2-3-1 formation to be honest as does Paul Tomkins.

"Looks like Hodgson (classic 4-4-2 man) has sent Liverpool out in 4-2-3-1 formation. Interesting."

Thought Amoo looked good down the wing but his crossing wasn't to clever. Ayala Kelly did well, Aqualani should be impressing but worryingly he didn't

Glad to see a player on the right who got back to help out defend and then made some good run forward. I am of course talking about Amoo, who made Degen look like the reserve. Man of the match for me. Ayala and Kelly ran him close, in a game where our first team players never got out of second gear

Jaysus I thought Roy set them up exactly like Rafa, defensive hard to break down, keeping in tight. Basically how he has played throughout his career.
