"made just 17 appearances since joining in January."

F**k me. He couldn't possibly have made much more than that. Thinking about it. Except for Reina, Gerrard and Carragher, prolly not many players have got more than 17 since January. Absolute bollocks story.

Especially as he was cup tied for the Europa Ligue

Since when has he been a misfit?

Since "Roy" decided that he didn't FIT into his plans maybe....  :-\

      Sure we've got Kuyt  :'(

What's a load of sh*t Eem - the story or the act of getting rid of Maxi?

Article is full of inaccuracies, Maxi was no misfit and he did not cost 1.5 mill, he was a free transfer, F**k me if they can't at least get them two right, how can you give the rest of the article any thought.

Aye you're probably right to dismiss the story as: a load of bollocks*/sh*te*/ridiculous* (*delete where appropriate) .........

      *switches "sarcastic b***ard" mode off.

It'll either happen or it won't - it'll either be true or it won't. I guess we believe what we want.

Sadly, i believe that any F***ing thing is possible under the current regime and i'm cynical enough (at the moment) to believe any story (bar Torres) that links us with getting rid of on the cheap 'shedding' "Rafa's players".

Let's be honest here - the 'media' haven't been wrong on that front (so far).  >:D

Nah mate I'm basing it on the fact that the story originated from a Spanish news paper, then was picked up by the Daily Fail and they just rehashed it, with one or two inaccuracies.

Agree it would be extremely harsh to get rid of him after only 6 months, was rather surprised to see the story reported on SSN though, for me Maxi is a good squad player who's versatile and put in a couple of solid performances last year. Not to mention that financially we'd get barely anything for him anyway!

For such a poor team (apparently) why the fck are our players  getting all the attention fck if the prem was about column inches we would be walking away with it right now.

Getting rid of such a good and versatile player would be so stupid that I don't even want to think about it.

He signed for a new club in the middle of the season, of course it wouldn't be easy to adapt, especially considering the kind of football we were playing, but he was slowly getting better and in the end I think he was a quality signing. I hope we'll see the best of him this season.
