As much as my heart wants to get carried away, along with a lot of others in this thread, but the closer the game gets, the more nervous & worried I am.

Missing the game for work. Don't get me started on that topic. Work moved my shifts so I am working tomorrow grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Anyway, looking forward to the match tomorrow. Interesting to see what team Roy will play. Will give us a fair idea what our transfer intentions will be over the next while. At the same time, I am also kind of shitting myself about the match.

Good luck Roy, hope you get your first points on the board.

I'll be up for 8am for this.

      Going to feel very weird.

I put 1-1 down in the Prediction League.  Would love to be proved wrong in the right way.

Can't wait for kick off. Pretty confident about getting the 3 points. Think we'll get the win 3-1 torres with 2 and cole the other.

      Reina

      Johnson
      Carragher
      Agger
      Aurelio

      Maxi
      Gerrard
      Aqualani
      Jovanovic

      Cole

      Torres

      Subs:
      Cavalieri
      Skrtel
      Mascherano
      Kuyt
      Pacheco
      Kelly
      Poulsen
I reckon cole has to play in the hole behind torres as he has been great when he's played there so far and i think we will have the better chance of getting goals with that set up,i think arsenal are pretty weak at the back compared to last season, you cant lose guys like campbell, gallas and silvestre and not be weaker. An early goal could be crucial.

It's important to win this game, especially since Chelsea thumped WBA 6-0 last night and with Manchester United to play on Monday. A win would put a little pressure on them and of course, Arsenal.

Pretty excited to see the boys back in action. Joe Cole looked really good against Rabotnicki.

If thats the team it is a good one. The only change I would make is Maxi for Kuyt. Torres must be on the bench and he could be a potent weapon if needed. If Mascherano and Gerrard are paired up that would be great as together there is not a better midfield in europe. I expect Masch to hold and Gerrard to pull the strings in the middle.

                                   Reina

      Johnson        Carragher          Agger         Aurelio

                                Mascherano

           Maxi                 Gerrard                 Jovanovic

                             Cole
                                     Torres

That for me is our best team at the mo. Today it looks like Ngog in for Torres. We can't rush Nando, its a long season ahead.

Bench..... Cav, Kelly, Skertl, Aquilani, Torres, Babel, Pacheco.

Cannot wait for the game. Really looking forward to it. Its a tough start to the season. But the first 2 games will not make or break us. Would be great for the confidence to do well in them though. YNWA

Not long to go now to a new start and a new era for Liverpool Football Club.

I just want to see some good commitment and passion from the lads this season, let's get off to a good start otherwise you're forever playing catch up even at the beginning.

Seems like the World Cup only finished days ago, although I'm sure those players who weren't involved in the World Cup will be itching to get going, whereas the ones involved will feel like they haven't had much of a break at all.

Pride in pulling on the RED shirt should be all that is needed to play for the most decorated club in England.

Come on lads, show us what your made of, good luck against the arsenal today, 2-1 victory to us in a tight game.
