Just under 2 hours now. Can't wait for it to start. ;D
Anybody know if Torres is available for start? There were some reports yesterday suggesting he was fit enough.

I am absolutely F***ing buzzing for this game. No words can explain how much i'm wanting this season. I look at the team we have and as hard as i try, i see no reason why this team cannot win the League. That's not optimism, that's cold hard analysis. If these players play to their potential, not above their potential, just to their potential, this side is more than capable of winning the League. Last season is long gone now, i'm hoping Roy has eliminated all the negativity and restored positivity to the team.

I don't think Roy has that hard a job to do in all honesty, he just has to play the players in their right positions and ensure that they perform to the required standard. We are at home today, the onus is on us to attack, i'm not expecting a Keeganesque approach, i am expecting us to go for them from the off. Arsenal are a physically weak side, they don't like being muscled, so we have to get into their faces. We all know what happened in last seasons corresponding fixture. I have no issue with showing Arsenal respect, they are a fine footballing side with a lot of quality, but last season that respect bordered on fear and that wasn't healthy.

The Gerrard/Cole combination is going to be key in this game i feel. They clicked well against Rabotnicki but this is a totally different ball game. If as has been reported thus far, that Torres is on the bench, then NGog really has to show us what he's made of. Plenty of game time last season so there's no excuse for feeble performances this time round. Looking forward to seeing Jovanovic play in the big game, a real test this time. Liking what i've seen of him so far, very physical, just what this team needs.

Good luck Redmen, i've gone for a 3-2 to us. If Roy lets the players express themselves then the 3 points are in the bag.

News is that Arsenal are without their 'on loan' midfielder from Barca Cesc Fabregas.  :f_tongueincheek:

As for Liverpool What the F**k is going on about N'gog is he or isn't he starting? Or is he even in the squad?

I'm f***in buzzin, been waiting since May for this, its f***in payback time, C'Mon Redmen show what we are made of and prove that last season was a indeed a blip, we came second the season before and we still have that side that was Sooooo!!! close to the 19th, plus we have added quality in Cole, Maxi, Poulsen, not only do we have someone who can pass from midfield, we have someone who is capable of unlocking those park the bus type defences, Cole to play all day long in behind Nando, Gerrard controlling the midfield with charges through the middle and connecting with Cole, Torres, PoulsenlLucas holding back, Maxi on the right, Jova on the left, backed up by Johnson and Kelly respectively and a solid back line of Carra and Agger and of course between the sticks one of the top 3 keepers on theplanet in Pepe, On the bench.... Cavileri, Kuyt, Aquillani, Aurelio, Pacheco, Babel, Shelvie

Roy unike Rafa will be more offensive especially at home, i expect to see us pass and move and have total control all over the pitch today, Midfield is the key area especially if Fab dons his boots, We are very strong at the back and i cant see the Arse getting too many chances, They are suspect at the back and i can see us domnating from front to back, Attack from the first blow of the whistle, dont let them settle, Grab a early goal to settle us and then just cruise SIMPLES!!!

      My line up is thus........
                                           REINA
                    JOHNSON     CARRA    AGGER    KELLY

                        MAXI                                JOVA
                                  GERRARD   POULSEN

                                            COLE
                                          TORRES

SUBS; CAV, KUYT, AQUA, AURELIO, LUCAS
                                                                              PACHECO, SKIRTL

Every team on twitter has been predicted lineup, and yes they have been with N'gog. What's the problem?

No official team news has been released yet.

just realized i posted twice in this topic without saying anything about the game

i really can't wait and am totally looking forward to it

i'm pretty damn sure we'll do quite well if we go for their throats from the start

plus a high quality game as this will  show us where our squad has its weak spot and with still 2 weeks of transfer market left it can hopefully get fixed
