Rubbish player no where near good enough for Liverpool.

I'm sure Roy must have more ambition than looking at a player of this quality. I'd prefer Insua and he's a bit shocking. I can't see this guy's name on the back of any supporter's shirt.

I think he has a beautiful left foot. But so does Aurelio, and he knows how to defend.

I'll pass, but I don't think he's as bad as some are suggesting. Definitely not a top player and one I wouldn't want to sign for us but would do well at a Villa, Everton etc.

Not as good as Fabio or Agger covering that posistion and would rather play Kelly there and even Insua to be honest.

Watching Fulham's game today, he looked very shaky and lost, and I really don't want him!

Reds move for Konchesky

Hodgson keen on landing Fulham ace

Skysports.com understands Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Fulham defender Paul Konchesky.

Reds bos Roy Hodgson has openly admitted bringing a new left-back is one of his top priorities this summer and it is believed he wants Konchesky to solve the problematic position.

Hodgson is a big admirer of Konchesy having worked with the 29-year-old for two-and-a-half-years prior to his switch to Anfield.

Liverpool are keen to bring in a new left-back before the close of the transfer window and had been linked with a move for PSV Eindhoven'sCarlos Salicido.

However, it appears Liverpool have opted to go for Konchesky with the player having just a year to run on his contract at Fulham.

Konchesky's future at Fulham has been the subject of speculation all summer with Birmingham having seen one bid turned down eartlier this summer.

New Fulham boss Mark Hughes was keen to keep hold of the former Charlton man, but Konchesky is thought to have informed the Cottagers chief of his desire to be reunited with Hodgson at Anfield.

Liverpool are believed to be prepared to pay up to £3.5million to land Konchesky as Hodgson looks to finalise his rebuilding plans at the club.

Would be good but only as a reserve choice only and nothing more. We need a quality left back, but we've not really had one for ages now. I hoped Insua would stay, hoping that he'd progress but if he was going to put in another season like last one then he had to be sold.

Speaking of...does anyone know where the fook insua is? Saw him in the stands for the trabszondslakndpfbsd game but haven't heard anything for ages. Obviously the deal with fiorentina hasn't happened...so...is he going? Or is he just going to continue hovering ominously in the background having a tea party with babel?

I cant see Al fayed selling anyone to Roy after his comments a few weeks back. Its obvious that this is the type player we can sign as its all we can afford.

I like Paul Konchesky, he is defensively sound, and quicker than you might think, plus he is good at crossing the ball into the net.
