Liverpool have agreed on a £2.5 million fee to sign Middlesbrough goalkeeper Brad Jones, according to skysports.com
The 28-year-old has been under the radar of Reds boss Roy Hodgson as he seeks to bring in more competition for first choice keeper Pepe Reina.
An initial bid of £2 million was reportedly turned down by the Championship side but a fresh offer from Anfield is believed to have convinced the club to part ways with Jones.
Despite agreeing on the transfer fee, the deal is far from being completed as personal terms and the number of installments to be paid are yet to be ironed out.
