I met my cousin today for the first time in ages!! He's changed so much since I last saw him! Pleased that I saw him, last time I met up with him was about 4 years ago! (He lives in England, and constantly on the move due to work!)

It's bizarre when you meet family members you haven't seen for ages isn't it. I haven't seen one of my cousins for years as he lives in Spain. I'm sure he's dancing about the streets at this particular moment though.

Hooray! I'm currently surfing on our new lap-top computer my mother-in-law bought us this morning!  ;D It's a bit sad really, her sister died a couple of months ago, she was retired from the army for about 20 years. She had a really large pension which she wasn't using very much of, so she had over €100,000 in the bank!  :o

My mother-in-law got her share of this, split between her mother, herself, and her brothers. So she decided to make us a nice present, and for my brother-in-law, and bought the kids lots of clothes! ;) It's great, because the other computer I was using was on it's last legs, this one is a lot nicer! ;D

So a big thank you to a lovely mother-in-law!  ;)

Not been posting for a while due to kitchen renovations.
This last week has dragged so much.
I've finally got my washing machine back in use, and it's on it's third load now - God how I stunk in old clothes  :f_tongueincheek:

Kitchen is just about finished, but now it's time for tiling and new wallpaper, and a new colour on the ceiling.

This kitchen had better last - I'm not going through this again !!!!

It's a pain isn't it Tommo, especially with the kitchen being upside down, it was bad enough with our lounge last year  ::)

I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end and you'll have a lovely spanking brand new kitchen to show off.

What colour have you gone for?

You'll have to post some pics when its finished  ;D

The units are called Tuscany ? me thinks, bit similar to walnut, with black worktops.
Stripping the walls down, and wallpapering 3 walls in ivory, and one in a colour similar to burgandy.
Not even chosen the tiles yet - I'm hopeless at this !!

Nice idea - but trust me, I'm a grumpy old git in the morning, no matter what colour I'm looking at.
Maybe a murial of Kelly Brook on the tiles would help  >:D

Mmmm.............sounds very nice, love the sound of black worktops and ivory walls, not so sure about the burgundy,  :-\ I'd go for a nice
lime green classic burnt gold colour, nice and soothing on the eye first thing in the morning, and make sure you have dimmer switches in there, nothing worse than a bright stark light in the winter mornings.

Tiles......don't get anything with a pattern on, dates to quickly, keep it plain and simple, much easier as well to clean.........Dark cream would be nice  :)

The burgandy wall is a plain wall with no units.
It'll just have a radiator on it.

It will bring the room together - believe me  :-\

      No dimmer switches unfortunately.
I've been very busy running in new cables for downlights, and kickboard LED lights.

I've drilled 7 holes into the ceiling for 12v spotlights, gone for under cabinet downlighting, the extractor has 2 downlights, and the kickboards I've not drilled yet, but will have 10mm LED lights put into them.

Trust me, they won't all be on at the same time  :lmao:
