Been there meself mate as Iā€™m sure you have, when something is available that can answer your prayers or fulfill a dream and you are prepared to cut corners, take chances and hope for the best.
Usually things work out but in this case it went tits up due to too many questionable factors,
those poor kids pictured is gut wrenching.

It was someone, who knew someone, who knew someone.

Alarm bells should have been ringing in my opinion. Handed over Ā£260 for tickets nearly a year ago? How did they know the games that long ago or am I missing something?

Also who takes a photo of their kid crying against a wall and allows it in the paper? Maybe I'm being harsh but I've no real sympathy for the parents.

When I've had tickets I couldn't use, a rare occurrence, they've gone to friends or people on here at cost or less in some instances. I feel like this approach had paid me back, ending up with tickets the same way on a few occasions as well.

But if I was taking my kid to their first game, it's not a system I'd rely on.

Hmm sounds dodgy from the start because the fixtures arenā€™t even known for the following season in June.
If itā€™s a case of ā€˜someone who knows someoneā€™ then just walk away or donā€™t be surprised when it turns out to be a scam. Donā€™t really know why they are then getting pictures of the kids up against a wall and covering their faces etc...ā€here kids, weā€™ve been ripped off but letā€™s now stage some photos to help the sob story for being naiveā€

      Am I being harsh?

All this questioning and needing explanation for bans. What's that all about?

When I see someone has been banned it's obvious they broke enough rules on enough occasions to warrant it.

Not that hard to work out.

Yup. Not owed an explanation about how the rules are enforced, at a football forum not parliament! Donā€™t think there would be such a debate about anyone else on the forum, he was a very good WUM imo and walked right on the fringes of the rules but last few months was pushing it even more.

In other news, got a new job recently, absolutely hate that settling in period where you are constantly having to ask questions to get to grip with systems etc :D
