      Manchester City 3-0 Stoke City.

The win puts Man City in 3rd place ahead of Arsenal and they are in pole position for automatic Champions League qualification.

Amazing how Arsenal were THIS close to overtaking Man United a few weeks ago and now they have dropped to 4th.

Well you wouldn't want them to be inconsistent would you?

Arsenal aren't going to be a top 4 team next year. They're a joke.

Good news for us, if Wenger doesn't spend big, that could be our way back into the top four.

I definitely think that we have a good shot at the top 4 with the way Arsenal has been falling apart. Can't really see Wenger going big. Not really his style.

Sorry to repeat this but who saw the west ham - wigan game in its entirety and can can honestly say it wasn't one of the best games of the season!
Such a great example of why the prem is fantastic and how a great game is more exciting due to passion and mistakes and misplaced tactics than a barca-esque pass-a-thon.
I honestly would watch that game 10 times before enduring a barca supposed classic.

It's mistakes what makes the game great in my eyes, including ones made by refs.

Apparently Ajax are interested in signing Harry Forrester from Aston Villa, his contract is running out. Doesn't happen often a Dutch club is interested in an English player.

20 yrs old and yet to make a 1st team appearance. No wonder I hadn't heard of him.

Yeah, but apparently he left a big impression with Ajax during a youth tournament recently in Hong Kong. He was top scorer with 4 goals. Interestingly enough, we were also in that tournament, with Celtic, Glasgow Rangers, Aston Villa and Boca Juniors.

Just makes you wonder why they haven't given him a chance. Smacks of Nemeth / Pacheco!

Yeah, reading on a Villa forum he's a technical attacking midfielder. Apparently he used to be one of the hottest talents. They all seem to want to keep him, though also saying he's probably let go because he can't handle the physical aspect yet of the EPL. Interesting though that Ajax would want him, if it's anything they know it's how to scout that type of young player, and there's alot of competition there for him at that age when it comes to technical attacking midfielders, Eriksen springs to mind. Also, interesting to know that the manager of the Ajax youth team in Hong Kong is Dennis Bergkamp, if he was actually the one impressed with him..

And you're right Rep. I was just reading the Hazard thread and someone said he played 140 games and all I could think of is how good Pacheco would be now if he had played that many games at that level.

Going to Ajax is a step he for the player and there isn't many better clubs to learn at than ajax! Its a shame this doesn't happen more often... the premiership is the fastest most physical league in the world and because a young player may not be at the physical standard for the prem he gets dropped into lower leagues where the balls barely on the floor for him to impress... where as if he went to another league in a different country, he could play to his strenghts and make a good career in the game! Think of the number of foreign players that cant adapt to the prem!! Fair play to the lad!

      Some interesting HT scores:

      Aston Villa 1-0 Liverpool
      Bolton 0-1 Man City
      Everton 0-0 Chelsea
      Fulham 1-1 Arsenal
      Man Utd 1-1 Blackpool
      Newcastle 2-0 West Brom
      Stoke 0-0 Wigan
      Tottenham 0-0 Birmingham
      West Ham 0-1 Sunderland
      Wolves 0-3 Blackburn

As it stands the bottom 3 are:
      Wolves     38 -22   40
      Wigan      38 -22   40
      West Ham 38 -25   33

      Wolves swapped places with Blackpool.

No sympathy for B'ham, going to Spurs and trying to play for a draw - no shots at all in the fist half.

Just seen the scenes from the Wigan game between Dave Whelan and Roberto Martinez. Made up for Martinez as it was earlier in the season he was starting to get grief from all angles.

Ha ha ha just heard Harry Redknapp kicking off at Andy Burton, after the dickhead remarked about fans on phone-ins complaining.

Redknapp took the Kenny approach, took the piss out of Burton and then said fans phoning phone-ins are a bit thick.

I find it hard to disagree with Harry!
