Were they at the game there was rumours over the last few weeks they were going to turn up. Don't think they would have had the balls, they could have worn disguises though ;)

Had to work today so haven't seen any of the match yet. Going to watch MOTD tonight. My bro and my sister's boyfriend were keeping me up-to-date via text. I went mental when Ngog scored. Like everyone, i was delighted. Can't comment on Cole's sending off as i haven't seen it. My bro's text said it was harsh but my sister boyfriend, a Manc, said he could have broken the fella's leg and was right to be sent off......i will make my own judgement when i see it tonight.

To be fair, i am quite happy with the result. If you had said to me before the match that we would have drawn 1-1 in the game, i would have taken it. Just annoying in the circumstances.

Talking of disguises, some commentator said Brad Jones was at Anfield today, in disguise.  What was he disguised as he's 6' 3" with sticky out ears, I don't think a fake mustache would have done the job, suggestions on what he could have disguised himself as?

hold on a minute, who said Masch? come on ppl wake up, he was well below average and when he came off he looked liked he didn't give a sh*t either (or did I just miss the irony in that vote)

And that Cole sending off was laughable, I mean I know he played for the chavs but there was no intent what so ever in that challenge! he just got caught up in the lad who was so badly injured at half time, that he probably walked 0.0000000001 times slower when he came back on ffs  :f_steam:

Anyway it was a promising display today from what looks like a much more pro active team mentality, I especially liked the look of Javonovnovovovovonowich in the early stages, he has some nice little touches to get the ball back from the gunners just outside their box (I would even go as far as saying some of our established players don't even do that) there was also a great feeling of determination to the side today and if we keep that up we should go far.    What about Dave's goal too, that was some seriously good sh*t right there, keep it up geez!  I do like the way we drew our first home game though, make of it what you will but I think we need to get in done sooner rather than later!

Overall team effort 8/10!  MOTM: Carra of course!

What a second half performance from the boys. They really did us proud out there today and can take real heart from the performance. 1st half was a blur and flew by. I was devastated for Joe Cole, we all know he isn't a dirty player and he was guilty of a 'forwards challenge'. I think he just wanted to show his desire in chasing after the ball. Still his sending off can be looked at as a blessing in disguise as the players came out wanting to show their desire to win. (Hopefully Pacheco is given a chance midweek to play behind Nando.) N'gog took his goal and at least that's him off the mark for the league season. Poor Pepe he really just had a lapse in concentration and suffered heavily as a result. Well onwards and upwards now for Roy's boys!!   :kop5cf8koxp6:

I wonder would atkinson have sent Rooney off at Old Trafford for the same tackle.

Good result considering a man down (or two if you count Agger) but gutted not to have got the 3 points and put our noses infront of Arsenal, Man City and Tottenham.

Happy if by the time we face Man U, we've won our next games. Man City will be tough but best time to meet them so early on.
