It should be Brendan dropped indefinitely.

If you think Mignolet would have got anywhere near the three today you are dreaming.  Mignolet should have been dropped about 10 games ago. That last Van Persie one would have gone in as well as Mignolet probably still would have been crouched on the ground.

You know, come to think of it, he wasn't exactly bad vs Basel and Sunderland, right? I mean, I can understand if he was dropped after 2 poor performances, but to drop him now when he was decent enough in his last 2 games, It just seems so sudden? Don't you think something's going on behind the scenes?

Actually agree with that.  Thought he was moderately better last two games - I agree with the decision to drop him.  Just odd that it wasn't a few games back and it is now.  More unjoined up thinking.

I think Mignolet would have stopped the first one. I'm absolutely certain he would have dived the right way at least.

Don't know what he was doing for the first, someone of Rooney's class was always going to go hard in that corner. Bizarre that he went the wrong way. Not sure about the third as he might have lost his footing and Lovren really put us in the sh*t with that one anyway.

Did think he claimed a few crosses well (couple of decent low driven ones especially) and he generally looked more commanding than Mignolet (not hard I'll admit). Was nice to see try and release the ball as soon as he could too even if it was just a simple 5 yard throw.

thought it was a bit of an odd comment by Brendan about Mig being out indefinitely it reminds me of a joke about the definition of indefinitely .
Brad Jones is not the answer. I hope it doesn't backfire

Is this guy really better than Migs. Another soft goal conceded today after diving the wrong way twice against the Mancs.

Maybe not but still the right choice to drop Migs simply because a player must know his place is under threat if he plays sh*t. Should Migs get the shirt back now I'd have no complaints.

Him and Migs are as sh*te as each other IMO. Don't trust either of them to play.

At least Jones shouts and tries to organise the defence a bit.
Nothing as bad as a keeper that won't come off his line and isn't vocal.

There were a couple of times last night though that Brad wouldn't come off his line and forgot to communicate with his defence. One of those occasions was some time in the first half when the ball ran through the 18 yard box (close to the 6 yard line) and the defenders were in 2 minds whether to clear it because Jones was moving towards it but then backed off.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Jones is the answer to our goalkeeper needs either.

One thing Jones and Kolo have done is make our defence more vocal,
and it's something Carra was great for.

I'm no goalkeeping coach, but Mignolet saves stuff. On that basis alone, I'd get him back in sharpish.

I'd bring him back in too. 3 goals out of the last 4 conceded were a result of poor goalkeeping. Granted, our defence aren't blameless nor are the rest of the team but they should have been routine saves for a Prem standard goalkeeper.

Jones is a nice guy but should not be withing ten miles of the club - thanks Roy.

Migs is a gonner and is two or three levels above Jones- just going through some shocking form right now.

If we don't start with Migs against Arsenal I shall be rather annoyed, you've proved your point now, that point being that you only have 1 goalkeeper in the squad, so lets stop F***ing about eh Brendan?

We need a goalkeeper that will shout " give me that ball ye bollocks's it's mine now F**k off out of me way " a goal keeper that looks like a Rottweiler and behaves like one , I think that rules out Brad and mingo , pure gentlemen they are .

what a F***ing mess we're in at keeper.

we've got Tweedledee and Tweedledum vying for the starting position while Pepe wastes away his career on the bench watching Neuer do Cruyff turns in his own box.

Does anyone seriously think he should be starting? Give me an out of form Mignolet every week ahead of this semi-pro.
