It's Utrecht mate!
Van Wolfswinkel has been highly regarded as a top talent since he was a youth player, think he was topscorer in the youth divisions too. When he made it into Vitesse's first team more than 2 years ago he was seen as the possible future leading striker of the dutch national team, someone with a big future. He's currently playing in the under 21 national team for Holland, and played his first friendly for the adult national team last week because the world cup players were rested.
For me though, thus far he hasn't really lived up to it all, although he has started this season well enough so he might prove me wrong, hopefully. However, how much I'd like him to succeed, he has never impressed me yet. He doesn't seem to be exceptional at anything, yet at least. But, at the same time, he isn't bad at anything either overall. He has a good height and is a decent finisher. He seems like a nice guy, though a bit cocky. He just has alot of developing left to do, but he might have alot of potential, might. Right now I don't think he is better than Ngog. They're both the same age, van Wolfswinkel made 11 goals last season in the dutch league, Ngog could've done that too, if not more. So I don't really know why we'd get him.
His potential is rated by alot of people in my country though, I guess I'm just not that certain about it. I think he'd be a bit of a gamble. If I'd get him for us, I'd be getting him because he might develop into a good player in around 2-3 seasons. He scored 2 goals this weekend, which makes 3 goals in 2 games. But out of the 2 this weekend 1 was a deflection, the other a penalty. I think this is kind of his make or break season at Utrecht and I can't really see him leave Utrecht yet actually, maybe next year. 8 million is too much, but then again they won't let him go easily, the owner of Utrecht is some rich guy who's trying move up with Utrecht.
