LFC Ticket Office - New Improvements
      Jul 03, 2007 07:40:34 pm
Due to essential testing of new Ticket Office systems the Ticket Office will be closed on July 9th and 10th between 10:30am and 12:30pm
Both phone lines and online sales will be affected by this down time.
While the Ticket Office windows will remain open they will not be able to process transactions.

I wonder if they are going to bring the systems upto the 21st century ?
It's about time they revamped the telephone system especially. Hopefully this will spell the end to the 5 hour wait to get through.
      Only time will tell.

Apparently Liverpool were planning on investing in some Morse Code equipment

but they've gone with Rafa's second choice again.

I heard the phone lines will be improved after they re-open though. No longer many hours wasted. We're going dual band!

During the close season Liverpool Football Club has been working closely with our software partners to improve our service to our supporters. This has resulted in the ticket office being closed for short periods in the run up to the new season.
There are several things that we have addressed most notably a new queuing system for the phone lines and improvements to the WebSales.

Firstly we have introduced a new phone service which will reduce costs to our supporters from a national rate call 0870 to a low rate call 0844 number. Call charges are 5p per minute from landline numbers and mobile charges will vary according to the service providers.

All tickets for any fixture in the upcoming 2007-2008 season will now be able to be bought by telephoning one number (UK) 0844 844 0844 (Overseas) 0870 220 2151. This will include 24 hour automated information, general sales, late availability (if available), PTS Ticket Sales and Fancard Wallets. There will be options to press relating to the games on sale (if the wrong option is pressed it will not be possible to transfer your call to the correct line). A message will be heard with details of the game(s) on sale. Please be aware though, due to extremely high demands for Liverpool home games, when telephoning there may be a considerable queue but your call will be answered as quickly as possible. If the queue is full you will be asked to try again later. At times you may hear a network busy message which will vary depending on your service provider.

In the future for Priority tickets and cup games you may be asked to enter your Fan Card number first to determine eligibility.

If you have a query you should call the Customer Services department on (UK) 0844 844 2005 (Overseas) 0870 220 2345. N.B transfer to a selling line is not possible by dialling Customer Services.

The Membership Department can be contacted on (UK) 0844 499 3000 (Overseas) 0870 702 0207.

The internet upgrade will be completed over two stages.

      Stage 1:
This will include greater resilience and improved failovers, although supporters may not notice much change as cosmetically the site will look the same and the number of people who can access it will not change dramatically.

      Stage 2:
Early in the New Year we will be launching a new web sales function that will incorporate all the resilience offered from stage 1 along with new functionality and increased capacity. The site will have totally new look and feel and will hopefully provide both the Club and you, the fans, with a more stable and efficient method of purchasing tickets.

Before undertaking these modifications the Club has taken on board the thoughts of many fans and hope that we will all reap the benefits in the future.

Take some time to read through this board before you ask questions about tickets mate, especially this thread:

      No worries mate.  :)

If you want my advice, the best thing you can do is apply for a fan card. Trying to get a ticket without one is very hard. All the information you need about that is in here:

      http://www.lfcreds.com/reds/index.php/topic,1805.0.html

You can then of course (hopefully with the improved phone system) not wait five hours on the phone  ;), but also apply online or by post as well.

Hope you get up to Anfield soon. If you do, give us a shout in the relevant match thread on here!

      Enjoy the forum!  :)

Just want to officially report - no improvements to the phone system.  Tried yesterday to get tickets for Chelski for 3 hours solid pressing re-dial, managed to get through 10 times, listened to options to press and then get told no operators available, please try later.  My sister manged to get through at dinner time and was told it was sold out and only adult and child tickets available. Still a shambles and costing money !!   >:(

Same here Smigger. My mate was trying from 8:30 until around 11:30. Exactly the same outcome as you. Not happy  >:(
Obviously no improvements. Unless anyone had success??

      Hiya mate.

First of all, have a read through this topic.  http://www.lfcreds.com/reds/index.php/topic,1810.0.html

The best option for you is apply for a Liverpool FC Fan Card.  http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/tickets/fancard.htm#1

I suggest you pick an upcoming fixture within the next month or two.  Otherwise it will be very hard to obtain a ticket.

      Hope this helps!

      Hi,

I'm writing from Ankara, Turkey. We are a group of Liverpool fans in Turkey. Almost all of us have met through a website/football forum  http://forzalivorno.org/index.php. This forum was established a couple of years ago and those who love fooball and sympathize Livorno FC in Italy have gathered around these two main issues. Among us there are numerous Liverpool fans. We have a topic named You Will Never Walk Alone, and a lot that is going on under that topic (The site is in Turkish but we have a section in english also which you might like to have a look.

Anyway, to the point: we are around 10 people who are desperate to be among our friends from Liverpool at the stadium on 24 October 2007, Championsleague, Besiktas-Liverpool match. The only problem we are facing is that the tickets for Liverpool supporters will be sent to Britain and will be available only in Liverpool.

We are desperate to have access to the tickets. Do you have any idea how we can fetch tickets for the Liverpool side for that match?
