I'd also get him for 6M. We need more creative wingers as we lack them.

He's the type of player we need, he has the creative talent, but he's doesn't perform and I don't want him here. He has a bad attitude and mentality issues. Caused controversy at Lyon and at Marseille too, issues with players and with both managers as well. Thus far he hasn't been able to secure a spot in any team, 17 starts last season and 20 the season before that at Marseille, 18 starts in the season before those at Lyon. While 6 million is not alot, we'd still likely be throwing our money away.

Ben Arfa would be a big mistake, I have seen the player many times in France and although he is very technical, he is not physical enough to play in the middle of the park, unles you play the style of the like of Arssenal.

This is a player who has actually taken Marseilles under ransom, he has a long history of problems with managers and he hasn't been playing or training for the last 15 days at least.

Michel Ouazine, the agent of Ben Harfa has been publicly critizised by the own father of the player as being having a "guru" attitude around his son.

On the top of that, Werder Bremen are on the lead to sign him, with just a fee to be accepted between the two clubs, reports suggest that Ben Harfa already accepted personal terms.

He is an intelligent player with good technique and pace. Would be a good addition IMO on the right flank.
Similar style to Turan, not as good as Turan but still quite good and less expensive.
Guys - I am starting to lose faith. We have not spent any money to strengthen the squad (I have to believe that we have at least the money we got for the sale of Benayoun and Riera) and with Sep 1st fast approaching we are in for a very difficult 4 months...
Roy states that he will not spend $ on players he does not know but maybe he should take time to know those players or ask his contacts about those players. I am very worried that we have no real attacking power. This is crazy!!! Torres is out of form/fitness, Ngog is hot/cold i.e. not reliable, Pacheco is only 19 years old and will need time, Babel needs to rebuild his confidence,...
This is really not looking good and we are at the end of the transfer window and we need to add something at the front... We are too slow and too predictable up front... I am dying here... Please help, Roy!

I'd have this lad, and if it comes to a straight choice between us and Newcastle i think he'd want to come here too.

Since he's a winger he'd free up Jovanovich or Kuyt so they could have a run in attack.

Good news for Liverpool. Ben Arfa could be a great player if he doesn't have a bad mentality. The same generation than Benzema or Nasri. Those 2 are now in two big clubs, whereas ben arfa went to clash with marseille and he's now in a middle-table (or less) club, Newcastle.

You'd seriously want a pr**k like him who went on strike to force a move away from his club? Not to mention all the other sh*t he has pulled.

SSN says he went to them despite interest from ourselves. Bullshit if we really wanted him and he had a choice he would be here.

Almost happy he signed for the toon. Unpredicatable player: one minute he is exceptional and the next he is acting the idiot.
