      Football Manager 11
      Aug 25, 2010 02:48:37 pm
Football Manager 2011 will be more polished than ever this year, and Sports Interactive will again set a new standard for the genre by adding a host of new features. For the first time ever, aspiring managers can now negotiate contracts with players in real time. And by working with a multitude of real-life football agents, Sports Interactive gained an insight as to how these negotiations can be made as realistic as possible in-game. Prepare to meet different types of agents in your contract talks; each with their own personality so will therefore need a different approach.

With the implementation of the most intuitive training system in the series history, there is a new "match preparation" area of training so that managers can give their team specific areas to focus on in the lead up to a match. There are also more basic training schedules for players, and 14 different individual skill areas that you can focus your players
      on.

Interaction with players, staff and the board have gone to a whole new level, with a host of new boardroom and backroom requests, a new player interaction module that allows the manager to have private conversations with players, as well as public conversations regarding players at other clubs.

Two years after the launch of the 3D Match Engine, players will see a number of improvements implemented for this year's release. With over 100 new animations added, as well as more player emotions, new player models, new stadiums, pitch textures, improved lighting, floodlit night matches, more goal celebrations and lots of other extras which improve what was already the best match simulation on the market.

      Nice one.

Not sure if I'll get it or not, though.

      1. I'm enjoying my game save with Barcelona on FM10

      2. It will be an extreme distraction from Uni work!

I haven't played a football management game for about 6 years because the last one I played totally dominated my life. I spent my entire time at work planning what I was going to do when I got home!

Press Conference revamp – Not just a new look, and not just 150+ new press conference questions, but also all of the previous 500+ press conference questions have been fully reviewed, with possible answers revised where necessary, leading to press conferences being more intuitive.

Squad registration / squad number split – We’ve separated out the squad registration and squad numbering screens, so you can now give squad numbers to players who don’t need to be registered.

Newgen revamp – Newly generated players, or newgens as we call them, are now created using a new system that looks at player templates for different styles of player, as well as taking national traits into account, to ensure that the types of player in the game are constant throughout the life of your own saved game.

Match analysis improvements – lots of new options available on the match analysis chalkboard, with offsides, free kicks, corners, throw ins, clear cut chances, half chances all now available to analyse via the system, as well as the option to show all of the players match actions at the same time, rather than having to look at them all separately.

Set Piece Creator – Much like last years tactics creator, we’ve now added a set piece creator to the game which allows you to set up your tactics at set pieces in a much more intuitive way

B-Team & Amateur revamp – Due to lots of feedback from our community regarding the way that B teams and amateur teams work in the game compared to real life, we’ve revamped them make them more accurate than ever before, including the chance to set up your own clubs B team at the start of the season in appropriate leagues.

I think the agent thing will be really basic, like saying thing's like my client doesn't like what you are offering and that's about it but i can see it going really far and getting quite good in a few years :)

Assistant reports which are done by Sammy Lee (JPA 14 and JPP 16).

whole first team is 3 stars current and potential ability except:

      jones itandje 1.5
      konchesky 2.5
      babel 2.5/3
      lucas 3/3.5
      agger 3.5
      gerrard/torres/reina 4

only bother mentioning half the ressies/u18

      wilson is 2.5/4
      shelvey 1.5/3.5
      pacheco 1/3
      kelly 1/2

rest are 2 stars or less.

      u18s potential only

      robinson 2.5
      wisdom/sokulik/andorjan 2
      silva 2.5
      suso 3.5

rest are 1.5 stars or less

      gameplay not sure as yet.

Agents tell you of other clubs that are also interested, agent fees need to be paid too now.

Agents have 4 attributes (that I can see):  attitude towards you, willingness to tout players, agent fee demands and patience.  Also shows how interested the player is in moving to your club.

edit: trying to rush to a game now before kick off :P

yes the boardroom isn't as rigid too, some new options which include:

      - ask for more % of transfer sales
      - ask to become a professional club (for lower leagues)
      - ask for youth recruitment network (not 100% sure what this means)
      - can ask for more time and a new contract
      - build new stadium/buy new stadium/expand stadium
      - ask for more coaches/scouts/physios

new "contract expiry screen" is handy.

Rafa is still a favoured personnel :)

      - match preparation screen which includes 3 preset customised setups to chose from.
      - special focus areas of training include: team blending, defensive positioning, attacking movement, defending set pieces, attacking set pieces

      - tactics familiarity screen includes how adjusted you are to the formation/instructions etc which is good - makes no sense to walk right into a club and just change their formation and straight away they've picked it up.  changing sh*t slowly makes the process smoother.

      - gk training split into shot stopping and handling

      - about private chats, can warm player about talking to media, ask them to lower wage demands, warn you will transfer list them, mention a concern about their happiness level, talk about the development process - looks great.

edit: new camera angle called TV (it looks boss), can see player emotions when they score/miss etc (agger just did an airplace celebration)

      - game seems a lot more fluid, attributes like balance and agility are sort of visible in the game.

      - cool little things like players knocking mud out of their boots and pointing at others etc, crowd more realistic, stadium effects are visible.

will tell you more later, killing this game to watch us smash Napoli 7-0.
