So apparently Real Madrid fielded the ineligible Denis Cheryshev tonight in the Copa del Rey, which is grounds from being eliminated from the competition.

Up to Cadiz to complain which is entirely typical of the Spanish football authorities. Osasuna were thrown out for something similar, apparently Cadiz fans were singing that they loved cheryshev, the power of social media.

That's a phenomenal stat and testament to how well Simeone sets his teams up to compensate for not having the embarrassment of riches available to his nearest rivals. Unbelievable to think that little over 18 months after winning the league and nearly the CL too they are bang up there again in the league and have a good chance of progressing to the CL 1/4s as well.

All i know of him is he's a beast in Footy Manager but he's made some cracking saves tonight. Just made a terrific left handed stop that was belted by Benzema from 8 yards out.

About time he scored, been having a sh*t time of it since his move to Barca by all accounts and needs to up his game. Certainly missing us more than we miss him.
