It's f**k all to do with covid, he was taken to hospital to have tests on a cardiac issue.

But it’s also listed as one of the possible side effects of the vaccine.
Seems strange that a few months after having it he has symptoms.

“Both the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna COVID vaccines have been linked to cases of myocarditis and pericarditis - swelling of or near the heart - in a limited number of cases, usually in men aged under 40 after their second dose.”

Ah yes. We must not question the vaccine. Must keep side effects quiet.
Must not mention the increase in sports stars collapsing or acquiring heart problems after the jab. Or the strange increase in reporting of fans collapsing during matches.
Or the study in the lancet that suggests vaccination has “No impact on household transmission of the delta variant”.
Or that deaths in Taiwan have increased since the vaccine rollout and people double jabbed in this country are still dying and make up over 80% of deaths.

I hope aguero gets over it. But if it is vaccine related he will probably be silenced over it like that basketball player over in the USA (Brandon Goodwin).

But I won’t mention any of that. La Liga is very open this year. And that’s a good thing. Seeing Barcelona sinking is also quite satisfying.

Quoting a clickbait title... That's not biased at all...
But did you even bother to read the article?

Because isn't it funny how you very conveniently ignored a few key elements?

Here are a few additional quotes from said article:

"The cases were most commonly found in men under 40 and within 10 days of a second dose."

"The EMA says, after 177 million total Pfizer doses were given out, 283 inflammation cases were reported.
And after 20 million Moderna doses, 38 inflammation cases were reported."

      I like my chances.

Questioning the vaccines is acceptable. But distorting facts to suit you narrative isn't. It's just dishonest.

By the way Aguero tested positive for covid in January. So if there's a connexion, I'd start with the virus, not the vaccine.

You start with that connnection then.
No wonder the odds are 283 out of 177 million if every vaccine side effect is conveniently linked to the virus.

But let’s get it back on topic.

The golden years of Spanish football seem to be over...

Have read that Aguero is likely to announce his retirement within the next week due to his recent heart troubles. Big shame but health always trumps football.

True, but on the whole his career has virtually been over for the best part of the last 18 months. Was clear that aside from the heart issue, he didn’t have much more left in him anyway with all the injury and fitness issues.

As if things aren't bad enough for this lightweight league, La Liga are now accepting investment and a share of the business from CVC Capital Partners. They owned f1 for a decade between 2006 and 2016 and were perhaps one of the worst things that has ever happened to that sport. Increased ticket prices, increased TV deals which sent everything behind a pay wall, traditional circuits struggling to pay for the increased hosting costs.

Are there crowd restricitons in Spain again? Watching the Real vs Atletico game a large part of the stadium has tarps over it.

They have had varying levels of restrictions all year depending on area

If you're going to allow 50% capacity then don't block off 50% of the stadium because you'll have the same density. Use 100% of the stadium so that you can distance everyone much better. It amazes me that teams are still doing this.

Confirmed today, he announced his retirement at a press conference.

Sad what has led to this, but he's made the right call

Call me old fashioned but I always find it weird how Barca love rolling out their players for a tearful goodbye with team mates and ex colleagues invited around for the ride.

It happens so often these days that it feels a bit like a gimmick. Feeding into the idea that they are 'more than a club' (ie a crime syndicate) and showing the rest of the world why they are unlike any other.

Of course Aguero's tears come from a real place but the rest? F**k them and their crocodile tears staged nonsense!

Barcelona are in deep financial crisis, and yet they just paid 55m for Ferran Torres. In what world does that make sense?
At what point does someone intervene and say enough is enough??

It's funny how Barca and Madrid can be in financial straits and still magically find a few million. Let's say there won't be much scrutiny in where that money has suddenly appeared from.

Talk of Mbappe going to Real Madrid with a weekly salary of 800,000.
