What a strike for the first aboslute screamer and then to be match winner really proves to all who doubted him what a star he is.

      Superb EL Nino.

That's the Fernando Torres that I'd gotten used to seeing! Wonderful game, capped by two wonderful goals.

He did call the linesman a F***ing w**ker at one point, but the linesman was a F***ing w**ker, so I'll let him off.

I remembered him shouting something along the lines of 'F***ing', but how certain were you that it was F***ing w**ker? ;D

Got back to his best today, first goal was sublime, gets past one with pace and then juts bangs it in before the other lad could just block the shot. The second one, the match winner, just pops it up when it's about time yeah ;)

The Torres we used to see. Getting the first goal just now must be a relief for him. And to score the matchwinner I'm certain he'll be walking away with the matchball today.

Getting back to his very best. Top lad our Nando. Love him to bits.

Form is temporary, class is permanent we should always remember this when it comes to this lad. He is always capable of scoring. He now has 5 in 6 premiership games and a couple of assists for a lad that is supposedly not in form that is a good strike rate to me.

If there is one line I can lip read, it's "F***ing w**ker" :p.

Also, it seems to be the limit of footballers vocabularies.

Well out of form this season so far and still top scorer in the league.  I feel for the rest of the strikers playing for second place for the golden boot.

      He's back to his best.

Knew it couldn't be too long. Brilliant from Fernando, first the statements made in the press and more importantly following them up! Hopefully this shall continue from today's game.

Not a bad return for a lad who is outta form is it? He's probably the closest thing the Premiership has seen to Shearer in the fact that he can do everything and score any type of goal, that header was a peach. Attacked it and bang, 3 points.

His first was just Torres at his best. Squaring up the defender, coasting past him and goal.

I might even be tempted to play him against Leeds for the first half or so, just to keep the momentum going and the confidence flowing. Though he seems quietly confident anyway.

Like someone said Torres out for form is == Rooney in the form of his life...

If this lad can bang in 5 out of 6 when out of form, I wonder what'll he com up with when in form..

I still can't get over his first goal. Truly World Class...I can watch that over and over again. Burn baby Burn.

The second one was a fantastic header...can't believe how high he got up....and then a clinical header.

Torres you are a superstar, hope you can pick it up even another notch for the rest of the season. Unstoppable, if you do.

Yeah, his first goal was really, really typical Fernando Torres of 2007/2008. Hope to see more of those type of goals. He had lotsa solo goals in hist first season against Chelsea, Man City, Spurs, Derby, Marseille and Porto!

we would be in serious trouble without him. for me he is as close to a complete striker as there is around.  even without his heading ability he would still be a top striker.

His career with us pretty much tells us about his abilities.

In his first season, he showed lots of pace and trickery in beating defenders and slotting the ball home. I remember his Chelsea goal very well and also the one against Derby on Boxing Day where he nutmegged the defender and cooly scored. Last season, he scored alot of headers including important ones against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City. Furtheremore, he's also able to score from outside the box.

With his personality, he's the Best Forward in the World.

Even the co-commentator (don't remember who he was) during yesterday's game (and that is rare regarding liverpool) admitted and said THERE IS NO STRIKER BETTER THAN TORRES In THE WORLD, at the moment

i dont know why people criticize torres if he doesnt score in 2-3 games.  >:(  he just cleared all the doubts cast over him with a wonderful first goal and a good winner late on.
      way to go torres!

It's okay if he doesn't score for 2 or 3 games. He went without scoring for 6 games last season I think then he got 4 in 2 games (could have been double consecutive away hat-tricks had the volley against bluesh*te had not be ruled out and had he scored against City 3 yards out) against City and bluesh*te before he got injured for Spain.
