Watched the second episode yesterday and wondered the same thing, Dave. How difficult would it have been to rescue him. You could make the argument that he was on a feeding tube, but it's not like any nurses were hanging around the hospital once z-hour hit.

Another satisfying episode.

I really enjoyed it, plenty of action, blood and guts in it!

Missed the last two, gonna buy the bluray set though. F***ing loved the ones i saw.

F***ing brilliant! Hopefully the quality keeps up, which im sure it will. Gonna buy the blu-ray set of the first season soon.

Photos - First Look at The Walking Dead Season 2

AMC released today two 'first look' photos from Season 2 of its critically acclaimed original series, The Walking Dead, currently in production in the greater Atlanta area. The hit series' second season includes 13 episodes, and will premiere this Fall.

Executive Producer/Writer/Director Frank Darabont says, "At this moment, I'm standing on a stretch of post-apocalypse interstate in Georgia, littered with abandoned cars and blessing my good luck to be reunited with our amazing cast, and our fantastic directors and crew. Across the board, there are none better. It's great to be shooting again. I think we've embarked on a great season."

Looking forward to this but was anyone else disappointed with the ending of the last series?

Just felt a bit flat.

Yeah, the first episode was the best in my opinion. But that happens alot, usually they spend alot of money on the pilot to impress and get a channel to buy it, but then the rest of the season is made on a lower budget per episode.

I remember the third or fourth being particularly well done I thought.

The ending may have been a bit flat, but then I think that might be down to the fact they were only doing 6 episodes in the first season. I think this is the best zombie thing to have been made for a long long time and with the amount of source material and its early success, it could go on for some time.

For those interested, Stephen King will be directing an episode (I think its just one) next season, which should be exciting.

Planned in April, but only watched it last night.

I liked it so much that I watched the first 4 episodes in a row. Only 2 left to finish the 1st season.

I think the 2nd season started last night in the US, by the way.

The 2nd series starts Friday in UK on FX which I don't have

I watched the first season for the first time 2 weeks ago, in one day, had a marathon with my girlfriend and some mates. And I just watched the 1st episode of the new season. I enjoy the series, but I don't think it's that great.  But I like zombie stuff, so it's hard not to enjoy it. And the zombies themselfs look great. But the storyline, and the actors and their acting, not that good. The comics the series is based on is brilliant,  very original in style too, it's a shame the series doesn't have any of that. I also watched the new episode of Boardwalk Empire earlier, and The Walking Dead doesn't come near that quality, unfortunately.

I can't say I'm finding it the best series ever either, but it's nearly impossible not to like it at least a little bit. Very enjoyable to watch. Zombies rule

What I found particularly annoying was the choice of the actress that played Sara Tancredi in Prison Break, she was one of the characters I hated the most and it seems to be no different in The Walking Dead as Rick's wife.
