Was it also a mistake letting Balotelli go, as he's also scoring a few goals at the moment, but hang on aren't our players also scoring goals at the moment. Look there is a reason why players are let go and almost always its a bloody good reason.

Completely different scenarios. Balotelli came with a lot of baggage everyone knew the risks of signing him. In addition he was given enough playing time to prove himself something Suso was never afforded.

Seriously...I don't get it. He was lazy and had a bad attitude (well documented I believe) and now he's scored a couple goals in a s**t league. Big deal. He'd be lucky to make it through one of Klopp's training sessions, much less do what's required to make it a whole game.

Massive f**k up by Brendan letting him go.

I think you're just looking for another petty, or rather petulant, attempt to get a dig in at Rodgers. You wouldn't have said so if he hadn't scored last night so don't bother. It's tiresome.

Nah. Suso has been a liability for them pretty much. A few good games here and there doesn't make it a mistake to sell him.

Plus if he was still here he'd be lucky to make the bench

He has probably found the ideal league for himself where you are allowed that extra touch and time on the ball.
EPL is a lot more physical and intense for the likes of Suso who didn't have the application at LFC hence why he wS allowed to leave.

Good luck to him as he's a classy little player.

Always thought he had a lot of potential and he looked half decent when he played for us. Was a bit disappointed we let him go too but he does have that look about him where he thinks he doesn't have to try but still walk into the team.
The fact he hasn't really kicked on since leaving us, regardless of the few cracking goals which lets face it, even Charlie Adam has put them in the top bin a few times, doesn't mean he's suddenly reaching that potential.

If it had been a mistake getting rid then I think he would have been lighting up his division by now but doesn't seem to be any sign of it, forgot he even existed to be honest.

Or maybe he has reached his potential and he was just another of the many players that have been and will be, hyped up to be better than what they are.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't want him to stay but I'm always like that when it comes to the lads that come through the academy. I also had very little knowledge about what he was like as a person or at training. Let's face it, he wouldn't stand a chance of even getting on our bench. Looking back I think it was the right choice for everybody.

As has been said,no it wasn't.I think we offered him a new contract but the kid wanted to chance his arm in Italy.Fair play to him for making it work.

It's not knee jerk to a couple of goals in one of the biggest derbies on the football calendar.  I believe under a young manager who plays attacking football he's thriving with 4 goals and 4 assists this season impressive stats up there with the manes and Coutinhos.

Whilst I appreciate the Seria A isn't played with the same ferocity and pace as the PL always,  it's a strong league with more teams ranked higher in the Uefa rankings then the Premier League. Those saying it's a sh*t league are talking out of their ass.

As for Suso like I said never given a proper shot by Brendan what was baffling though on the rare occasion he did the lad did ok and  then would  disappear in to the peripheral for weeks and months at a time. One of the many bizzare ones to add to the list along Sahin Assaidi and Ilori.

I can't remember where I read it, it was quite some time ago but I remember reading that Suso was regarded as one of the most technically gifted players at the club by Rodgers although I think the issue was that he didn't develop physically quite as expected.

I also could of completely made that up though...

French League is not a match on ours, look at Ibrahimovic, not so prolific now.

Has got into the Spain squad.

Rodgers should have given him more of a chance or at least we should have inserted a buy back clause.

Him and Milan have got off to a great start haven't they? Really strong in defence as you'd expect with Bonucci in there and I'm sure the other signings made will only enable Suso's talent more. Got a very interesting young manager in Montella as well.
