Zinedine Zidane's son may opt to play for Spain instead of France

France legend Zinedine Zidane said his 15-year-old son Enzo, who is already a star of Real Madrid's youth team, may eventually play for Spain.
 
"When he's called up, that's the time that I will decide," Zidane said in Madrid, in comments carried by sports newspaper AS on Tuesday.
"If Spain call him up, it will be good, and if it's France, it will be good too," the former Real and France playmaker said. "For the moment, he is enjoying football with Madrid and that's what's important."

AS recently carried a front-page story on Enzo Zidane, describing him as one of the best players in his team and who had inherited his father's talent. Zidane, who retired from football after his last season with Real and the 2006 World Cup, lives in the Spanish capital with his family. He is also a special adviser to the chairman of Real, Florentino Perez.

Not much really saying he may actually opt for Spain, more just Zidane saying it's a possibility. But still, interesting eh? At the moment if you had a choice between France or Spain though, i don't think you would have to debate too much!

Not that strange, Zidane isn't all that French himself, he's from Algerian descent. And his wife is Spanish and they actually live in Spain. Apparently 4 of his sons are playing in Madrid's youth. Enzo, from the article, carries his mother's last name on his shirt to avoid the comparison with his father.

Didn't think it was strange at all myself, knowing that about his family - but for the millions of French who would want Zidane 2.0 playing for them, F**k, i want him to pick Spain just to see the reaction
