He's doing a great season start ! Best scorer of the Ligue 1 (7 goals for 8 matches), it's a good free-kick taker (...) and has also a big influence on his team's game. It's mostly thank to him if saint-etienne is at the 2nd position at the table. He has just been selected by Laurent Blanc for the 2 next matches in the Euro 2012 qualifications.

      Nice one.

Watched him play and thought he was brilliant, but it was only one game. Wouldn't mind him here!

Rumors on the main site that we are linked to him.

Then again we are linked to everyone including Messi's mother and father.

      Marseille 1 - 0 Nancy
      Auxerre 0 - 1 Bordeaux
      Toulouse 0 - 2 Paris SG

      Montpellier 2 - 0 Sochaux
      Nice 2 - 1 Saint-Etienne
      Brest 0 - 0 Arles-Avignon
      Caen 0 - 0 Monaco
      Lorient 2 - 1 Valenciennes

LISANDRO IS BACK  :)! He scored twice against Lille. And Gourcuff scored his first goal with Lyon. Important victory for Lyon, who escape from the dangerous par of the table.

Marseille won but it's an injustice for Nancy, who should have 2 penaltys. Overmore there's a big fault on the goal scored by Rémy.

Arles-Avignon won his first point of the season, before playing Lyon at home.

Marseille in form now, 2nd of the Ligue 1. Lyon 14th, unable to beat Arles-Avignon, 20th of the Ligue1 with 1 point in 9 matches.. I was at the stadium it was catastrophic on the pitch. The part of the stadium where we standed doesn't have roof it it was raining, raining again and again..

The match Marseille - Rennes have been deleted because of the rain, it wasn't a football pitch, but a swimming pool.

Lyon back in the first part ot the table :)

If someone still read this thread, do you know the Brest team ? Probably no. This club was in Ligue 2 last year, and today they're leading Ligue 1 ! They didn't concede a goal for 8 matches..

Brest leading the Ligue 1, it also shows that the big clubs (Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux) have big difficulties to start their season properly.

Something else to notice, the difference between Rennes (2nd) and Nice (17th) is only 6 points, as you can see the table on the first message.

Was watching the highlights show with Brest and St Etienne which sent them top. Doing well! Playing some good stuff, too. Not the best but good enough.

Brest, Marseille, Rennes and Paris didn't win so Lyon had a great opportunity to get closer to those teams, now it's done, thanks to the difficult victory against Nice and a goal by Jérémy Pied.

That's still the same thing with Lyon. The team doesn't act but react. At Lens it was 1-0 at half-time. Lisandro and Gourcuff was subs, they entered the pitch and then we saw a great performance by Lyon. 2 goals from Gomis (first one is wonderfull), 1 from Lisandro, Gourcuff had these influence on the game that we would see more often. Lyon 8th 2 points from the leader.

Marseille didn't win for 3 matches, Lyon didn't loose for 10 matches (7 victories, 3 draws). Next day the 'Olympico', opposing Marseille and Lyon. Both teams have problems with their defense : injuries, suspensions.. But one team has a great attack, Lyon :) Lisandro is back in form, Gomis is one of the best Lyon's player of the season. Those two players scored 8 goals (4 goals each) in the last 4 league game matches. I will be at the stadium sunday I hope we'll come back with the 3 points ;)

As you can see on the table at the 1st message Lyon is back on the podium.

      Yes we do.

At the end of every match, no matter the result, you have this banner PUEL RESIGNATION :

      home :

      away :

Even if results are better now I don't think he's the man as the situation, the same as you Liverpool fans think that Hodgson should leave. Puel must be a good coach for a middle-table team, but in Lyon we need someone who has capacities to coach big team and who know how to manage with talentuous players.

A good opinion, but nothing excessive. Of course marseille's fans see him as a god because last season he made marseille become champion 17 years after their last title. What do english newspaper say about him ?

I'm not overly sure because i'm in Australia but there is a decent reputation being built with Deschamps. What's his style? Can't say i have access to French football all too often.

Bordeaux is just catastrophic this season. They lost the 3 most important persons of the club last year. Coach Laurent Blanc, Marouane Chamakh and Yoann Gourcuff.

I'm not overly sure because I'm in Australia but there is a decent reputation being built with Deschamps. What's his style? Can't say I have access to French football all too often.
Can't say also. I don't really watch to marseille's matches, I have no interest for this team, I hate them. Sunday we'll f*ck them hard !!!

No winner between Lyon and Marseille. Lisandro scored (again) for Lyon, Valbuena scored for Marseille. Lyon could have been at the top of the league with a victory. That's a good result anyway, because Marseille stay 2pts behind us.

I watched the game between Lyon and Marseille. Bastos should of buried the game for Lyon but missed. Cissokho was again impressive.

Was a good game that Lyon were unlucky not to win.
