Yes but we could also lost this game. In the 2nd half Gignac had a very good chance to score but he missed too.

      Toulouse 1 - 0 Nancy
      Montpellier 1 - 0 Valenciennes
      Lens 2 - 1 Saint-Etienne
      Auxerre 1 - 1 Monaco

All five top table teams won.

There's not any player of Lyon injured for the first time of the season, a good fact. And Toulalan, one of the most important player of the team, seems to be back in form. Just to remember he was really psychologically touched after the French world cup disaster..
Everything seems to be alright in Lyon now. The team is on a unbeaten run of thirteen matches in Ligue 1.

Now I let you admire the goals by Gomis and Kallstrom, two masterpieces !! :o

      Results (saturday 29th and sunday 30th) :

      Valenciennes 2 - 1 Lyon
      Monaco 0 - 0 Marseille
      Lille 1 - 0 Lens
      Arles-Avignon 1 - 2 Paris
      Caen 2 - 0 Auxerre
      Lorient 2 - 0 Brest
      Saint-Etienne 2 - 1 Toulouse
      Sochaux 5 - 1 Rennes
      Bordeaux 2 - 0 Nice
      Nancy 1 - 2 Montpellier

Important match for Lyon versus Bordeaux on sunday evening. Important because Lille has now 7-points lead on Lyon, 3rd at the table. In case of defeat, Bordeaux would pass before Lyon at the table. Overmore Lille is able to take a 10-points lead..
This month is decisive for us. Added to the match versus Bordeaux, Lyon will face Saint-Etienne in the derby (we have a revenge to take..), then two home matches. The first against Nancy, the second, "a little bit" more important versus Real Madrid in Champions League. To finish the month Lyon will travel to north of France to play the leader, Lille.

About the main transfers in Ligue 1 :
      - Sessegnon (Paris) and Makoun (Lyon) have moved to Sunderland and Aston Villa.
      - M.Diarra (Real Madrid) moved to Monaco.
      - Andre, a young brazilian, moved from Dynamo Kiev to Bordeaux.

Something very usual in French stadiums, the tifos, some kind of big mosaics :

      was vs Liverpool ;)

was vs Man United. banner says "TONIGHT THE DEVIL IS RED AND BLUE"

Celebration of the anniversary of Guignol the most famous marionette of France, created in Lyon in 1808

vs Marseille. Mario as a Lyon fan and Donkey Kong as a Marseille fan, out of the road because of the bananas ;D

"IT IS OURS!!!" Great times when we were Champions

yeah I'm chauvinistic, only tifos of Lyon fans :P

What do you think of Carlos Bocanegra? He was on the team I support in the States and played well. He was missed on the pitch for awhile. Wondering how is coping with playing in Europe.

any1 been watching it regularly this season??? ive only been able to catch a few games here and their.......the league imo is pretty underrated, teams are improving and you have great young talent among the squads, I see Comolli scouting the country heavily if he hasnt begun to do so, personally I see our transfers coming from here

That's the point. We have lot of young talents (Hazard, Martin, M'Vila... etc). This is the result of our formation which is, I think, one of the best in Europe. Problem : It's difficult to keep them in France, then big clubs, mostly in England, want to have them in their team as Hazard for example.

And there's some young French players (14 or 15 years old) moving to England whereas they have never played in Ligue 1 before.
I think we should let players fnish their formation properly and then when they are around 18yo so at this moment they can move where they want.

About Carlos Bocanegra I must admit I didn't here a lot from him. I don't take a look at Saint-Etienne's matches. But it seem he often scores for a defender.

About Lyon and the rivals for the title, we'll play Rennes and Marseille at home and have an away match at Paris. At this moment of the season any defeat could have terrible consequences..

That's just catastrophic, Lyon was leading 1-0 vs Rennes with a numeric advantage due to the red card a player of Rennes received. And then Rennes equalized at the 86th minute  Players of Lyon was just unable to score taht f*cking goal. At the stadium I had the feeling that players didn't want to score and take the assurance to win the match. Now Lille escape at 6 points from Lyon :-\

Please tell me.... Imagine Liverpool 4th, 6pts from the leader at this moment of the season, when every match is important. Imagine LFC leading 2-0 in an away match at the 90th minute. Now imagine LFC concede 2 goals in the additional time to finish with the score of 2-2. How would you react ?

F*CK !! F*CK !! F*CK !!!!! this scenario is what happened to Lyon yesterday. It's so exasperating... Players are supposed to fight for the champion title but I think they just don't care about it. Except Lloris and Lisandro. Talking about Lloris, here is his reaction after the draw of yesterday. I  add he stopped a penalty during the match..

Rage d'Hugo Lloris après le match Nice-Lyon (vidéo)

Now Lille escape 8 points from Lyon.
