Dissapointing to see Monchengladbach down at the bottom without a home win. Fan of the Bundesliga, Think it's a great league. Look out for BMG and Dortumund personally(Not because their top of the table mind). Think Lucas Barrios would be a cracking signing for us, he's banging them in for Dortmund.

If Köln do relegate at the end of the season then we should try and get Podolski on the cheap in my opinion.

He actually really poor at club level and only seems to lift his game just before an international tournament.  Anyway, I really hope that Kaiserslautern stay up this year, been out of the Bundesliga way too long for my liking.  They're my 2nd team behind Liverpool ;D

Sad about M'gladbach, considering my favorite American player, Michael Bradley, is there. He's an amazing midfielder who I think would be great in the English game, where box-to-box midfielders are a huge asset since the league is so fast-paced. Hope they don't get relegated or he gets transferred in January.

Good to see Dortmund on top have a lot of time for them.

Hasn't Mainz been a great story so far this season??

Mainz have been excellent. They haven't beaten sh*t teams either only, they have beaten the best and only just lost to Dortmund when they played.

I'm the same with Vitez. Podolski is a terrible player. He fades in games so often.

Yes they have been excellent and are exceeding expectations every week.

I too agree about Podoloski doesn't cut the mustard for me.

Has he been that bad? Haven't seen much of him this season. Didn't think he was all that bad at Bayern, as a left winger anyway.

Terrible. Wouldn't pay 2m for him, let alone what they'd want.

Sorry mate, I gotta disagree completely there with you. Podolski is playing an excellent season, he's the heartbeat of Cologne and is doing very very well. He's had some fantastic scenes in the last few games, there's no way that this player will transfer for less than 10m.

      3-2 Cologne!

What a turnaround and that compiles the misery on a sh*te season for Bayern. Honestly never been a fan or impressed with Van Gaal and this shows why. The bloke is a glorified Hodgson. One way and one way only.

He's a self aborbed pr**k, but to compare him with Hogdson is giving Hodgson way too much credit in my opinion. Van Gaal achieved stuff most good managers dream of. I agree though, he doesn't know any other way than his own.

Oh no! Peszko misses a sitter to all seal the win. He's been a handful today for Cologne.

Dexter, that's why i said glorified. I don't get his philosophies one bit. He got lucky last season in one game against Juve and it turned around from there but he's never convinced me during any time at Bayern he is still good enough for a top club.

Cologne win. Superb effort and what a turnaround. Bayern will be lucky to keep their stars in the Summer. The Schweinsteiger's, Ribery's and Muller's are being dragged down by the Pranjic's and the like.

Lahm won't leave, but those others really need to move on i feel. Especially Ribery.

I do completely get his philosophy. The problem is, he isn't willing to compromise in anyway, even when that means the team could get worse results. That, and he is old fashioned when it comes to authority, he expects everybody to do what he says no questions asked. And he thinks he's always right. The thing is, he will get results if a club gives him full reigns and all players do what he says. But a club like Bayern won't give him full reigns, too many people within the club like Beckenbauer and the likes who want to be involved. That, and he doesn't accept big egos in a team, except for his own big ego.

I loved the fact the first thing Van Gaal did as Bayern manager was to get rid of Lucio. He was sold to Inter, just to become European champion against Van Gaal :D

Anyone watched Dortmund vs Schalke yesterday? Manuel Neuer is a fantastic goalkeeper.

That's it though. That's his philosophies on how to run a club and neither you nor i understand them. He has contradictions in his own methods but continues to use them with confidence.

And at Barca he didn't have full reigns though. His board would never allow full reigns at their club. Yet he won things there.
