I ran down stairs to watch the match this morning, turned on the telly and we were 1 nil up. Watched the rest of the first half and they score.

Left at half time, couldn't get a stream so missed the whole 2nd half and we score another 3!

Well done lads, can't remember the last time we scored 4 in a match.

We need Johnson and we need him Sunday against Utd. Kelly did okay that is all if Johnson put in the same performance he would be slated. Decent result I thought the performance was fairly poor though.

After that performance this is all you have to say? Bloody hell

Well, on a side note, I was hoping Raul Meireles was given the penalty kick duty!

Spearing, Cole, Babel, Maxi, Raul all had a decent game imo.

Apparantly, when he joined Liverpool, Lucas was promised sex by his missus every time he played football for the first team. Tonight will be his 3rd shag since then!

Kelly and Babel were fooking quality.

Maxi and Cole were great in there own right.

Pacheco did awesome needs more than 6 minutes.

I think that Babel was MOTM for me.

Buzzing after this. Kelly, Spearing, Ngog, Pacheco, Eccleston. . . Delighted for all of them. Should make our young players push even harder for starting places. Wasn't Kelly's best game for us but you cant fault the lads effort. One thing though. . . Babel out wide was not as effective as when he played up front. Hasn't the vision or awareness needed. Anyone else love when Dani shoved Paul out of the way for the free kick

It happens with me too. Last year i missed Hull City match and we won 6-1. Then i watced Aston Villa match, i watched all game and in 85. minute my stream closed , when stream was ok again, Torres had already scored one goal Its realy weird.

Get in Redmen!!! Cracking result! Really took it up a notch second half.

Kelly was brilliant at right back again. The odd error yes but made some cracking tackles, not afraid to go forward and had an all round good game.

Spearing impressed me a lot. He dominated that midfield in the second half. Put some good tackles and distributed the ball well.

Maxi improved from the weekend with some nice touches and he worked very hard. Can take corners better that Stevie.

Meireles grew into the game, made some good passes. Love how he is always available and also his pass and move ways. Should go well with Stevie when he's back.

Babel was hit and miss for me, not sure what you all saw in him.

Ngog was sh*te for the first 60 minutes but took a good penalty and a brilliant finish for the last goal. It's what good strikers do, wait for the chances.

And Lucas Leiva. What. A. F***ing. Hit.

A much better second half. Well played lads and good to see a bit of positive football with players trying to progress forward with the ball.

Spearing was my MOTM tonight but Cole,Miereles and Kelly also impressed. There were some nice touches and passes in the second half and some of our senior players could learn a bit from that display after half time.

Very happy for this game, was speaking to my dad and said its put me on a high.

Loving this after we played so poor against Birmingham.

Think Danny Agger had a good game at the back.

Great goal by Lucas but i was hoping Shelvey would come on instead.

I'm at work and have this on Sky+ to watch when I'm home so I can only go off what you lot have written.
Funny isn't it, when our 'second string' get a results like this, it suddenly feels like we've got quite impressive strength in depth.
Johnson, Skrtel, Carra, Poulsen, Gerrard, Torres and Jova rested and Kuyt injured yet we can still field a team like that with extremely promising young players waiting in the wings . Things aren't all that bad!

Good performance, although apart from the five minute spell where they scored, I thought Steaua were sh*te.

Great start by Cole with a similar finish to Babel's in the last round, excellent shot by Lucas, good pen and boss second by N'Gog.

Miereles looks like he will be a very good signing and a deffo plus point for Roy on that one and Kelly will make that right-back slot his sooner or later, he makes Johnson look lethargic at times and his positioning and defensive qualities are a lot better too.

Reina- quality, didn't have much to do.
Kelly- solid as ever, did his job well.
Sotis and Agger- nice and strong in the centre of defence.
Konchesky- carrying on with his good start at the club, impressive.
Maxi- a bit slow as of recently, still put in a shift and was good with his link up play.
Spearing- very impressive, did everything you could ask him of.
Meireles- quality as expected, ran the show.
Babel- did very well seeing as he doesn't like being on the left.
Cole- yet another showing of what a bargain he was, played excellently.
Ngog- did well, took his chances.

Was really happy to see Lucas score, managed to crack a smile. Pacheco and Eccleston got some time on the pitch too, good times as of tonight.

Great result, but performance not so sure.  I'm going to watch this again in the next couple of days, as reading through this makes me feel like I've missed stuff. Really enjoyed watching Joe Cole, although playing in the hole like Gerrard, helped closed the gap between midfield and the frontline, whilst he didn't let himself get isolated.
