I'd like to thank Purslow in his efforts over the past few weeks. You weren't a pet poodle for Hicks and Gillett. You were when the time mattered loyal to your club and took what was best for the club despite the severe danger that you so easily could have been replaced. You played a canny game which made you look like a safe option for Hicks and Gillett.  You weren't. I apologise completely.

Also can't thank Purslow without thanking Martin Broughton. If anyone has done more for Liverpool at boardroom level since John Smith then it is Mr Broughton. He has shown a level of intelligence and competence which quite frankly makes Gillett and Hicks look like the clowns they are. Also he made a complete mockery of David Moores in lessons in how to run a football club.
