An official LFCREDS.COM Award.

I was wondering why we dont have an official Player of the Year Award.  We certainly have enough members on the site where we can issue an award and maybe a Plaque or Trophy to a player voted on by forum members, and officially awarded to that player.

With a little bit of posturing and work we might be able to get the player on the website or a chat session. After a few years it might be something good.  At the end of the season we can vote over a 7 day period and once a winner is picked we make it official, contact the club and see if it can be "Officially" presented to the player. It would certainly be good for the forum and any advertising, especially free advertising is good.

How great would it be for Liverpool to acknowledge an award from a supporters forum?

There's a "Standard Chartered Player of the Month", so I guess that'll make this idea look pretty good

I like this idea, if we could make it work. We have a big number of people on here, so it would be a fair representation of a fans idea of who they think the best player was. And, it would allow overseas fans such as myself and YANK up there to have a vote in an award.

Thus making it a truly global fans award, and then making it the best one ever

I am in full support of this idea. I think the players would be proud to have an award from fans around the world.

We already vote for our player of the match each game, and then that goes on a tally for the end of the season.

I'd love to see that go towards an actual trophy for our player of the year or something. That'd be brilliant.

Willing to contribute to a whip around for a nice trophy.

But the idea of actually having a trophy or plaque made and engraved, then passed on to the player is new.

Sounds like a good idea to me to raise awareness of the forum!

Great idea, and I think should let the fans vote at season ended based on man of the match (maybe top five) with fans's themselves favorite (such as off the pitch behavior or some player who fight for the club etc) instead of merely mom stats, just opinion

Love this idea. I always wonder whether the .tv votes is a fair. I think some people just usually vote for their favourite players and have no diea who has been playing well. At least on here we know that the majority of people have a good idea of how each player is palying.

the players who gets the award will be over the moon even if he doesnt get a flashy trophy. he will know all the global fans appreciate what he does for the club.
the player who will score alot of goals will get trophys and everything but we should look for other criteria's, like his body language, attitude, work rate etc.
thats how i feel about this tho.

It's a great idea to run along side the mom vote, and the winner could be coaxed into doing a wee interview just for this forum to show his appreciation.   Poulsen anyone
