Actually enjoyed reading all that Billy. If I was one of you lot! not  sure I could put it better as it’s spot on. Bit sad when an oily  ( hopefully) manc  thinks like you do.  ;D

As good as we all know Bellingham is 2/3 players for 150 million would improve your side more than one alleged player that may cost up to 150 million.

If what we believe by social media true and let’s be honest most of it bullshit anyway then if your entire budget goes on  Bellingham it won’t be enough of an improvement for next year.  So as a manc it will be a bitter sweet pill if us lot don’t get him.    ;D

Bellingham is a very good player

But it shows the over inflated prices for players - £150mil for a very good player is a stupid price but we know the likes of Madrid will pay it

I would think for £150mil you could bring in 3 quality players that would improve the overall squad but IMO Bellingham is who Klopp wants

      That's a f**king cracker from you nobby!

He’s probably better than very good but I won’t debate for obvious reasons.  ;D We both know the inflated prices are never going away. However, United currently in the process of trying to cap  salaries between £200k / £300k a week. Can’t see them getting it through but if they did would set a great precedent for other clubs to follow suit.

Well he isn’t a world class player just yet and still has a long way to go

Rice though is coming into his last year so he could be going for a lot less

Those inflated prices won’t go away when some clubs keep paying them

Wage caps would be good , clubs would then use incentives to boost wages

New stands , new commercials all add up but to get to that level means paying some bills etc. A bit like what Arsenal did when they moved stadiums

This new stand you mention are you implying the owners coughed for that , they may have had the foresight to increase their asset as we are , but they havnt put a penny of their own into it , and before you say they lent the club money , we won’t travel that road again as all they done was lend their own asset money and then get someone else to pay it back .

The money for the main stand came from a bank loan which the club are paying back when and where they can ( think there maybe about £30mil left to pay ) - bank loan was sourced within the US

The money for the Annie Road comes from the clubs credit facility with their bank

The builds are paying for themselves with the extra income gained from them paying for it.

Had they wanted to pay for improvements themselves could they out of their own pockets or does that breach FFP in some way?

Infrastructure funding isn’t part of any FFP allowances

      Sound, good to know.

So were we to ever have owners that were altruistic in the sense that they wanted to infuse the club with their own cash, the way to do that within FFP would be for infrastructure funding which presumably would then free up budgets for things like transfers?

When you say paying back by the club you mean the fans and sponsors , nothing by them , might be standard by your sense I call it taking the piss tbh

You do understand this was known 6/7 years ago when they first started to rebuild the stands ?

It’s not new news - the stands were always going to be rebuilt using the clubs income.

The club is getting the benefit of those stands

I’ll ask you same question I asked Pete  ( HR) but he’s yet to reply…

If passed budgets for your transfers are anything to go by let’s presumably say you have £150 million to spend in the summer transfer window.

Would you (1) like to spend it on  Bellingham or (2) try and buy 2 or 3 players?

Obviously that’s based on alleged reports it might cost up to 150 million to buy  Bellingham, personally I don’t think he will be that much but that’s another story..

I would take the three. We need more than one.

Hopefully it.doesnt have to be one or the other.

A benefit that will only be realised when they sell

Would you prefer the club not improve itself ?

It’s a no win situation tbh then

For decades for were left behind when clubs look to sort out stadiums to take advantage of the increased money coming into the game - we even had the infamous spade in the ground

We finally get it sorted and yet there is nothing but negativity about it

It ain’t negative but don’t make out they paid for it been down this road before , they own the club they should be paying for the improvements to their asset not us how’s that so difficult for you ,

I haven’t made out anything - you can highlight where I have made anything to suggest that or you can shut up accusing me of it

They are using the money gained by the club to pay for the improvements - that’s pretty standard

They own the club , the money coming into the club is theirs , so they use that money to improve the club - should be simple enough for you to understand.

Just like the money earned by the club pays for the wages , the transfers , the bills
