      👍 interesting 🤔

What is the difference between the Villa or Arsenal owners and FSG ?

What would we see different to how we work now
I just like the way they've quietly gone about their business. While everyone is on about Arsenal, City, etc, they have gone under the radar, yet they keep picking up points, and seem to be getting stronger as the seasons go by.

It’s hard not to be impressed by Villa , they had a mare under their previous owner and this new company have a few clubs

Getting Emery in was massive for them and then he was key to getting in the DoF

With them losing one of their best players in Luiz thought they may struggle but have again done well with their replacements

Clearly got someone smart in recruitment team with players like Rodgers being snapped up

Big season ahead for them with CL football , will do well to stay in top 4

In the case of Arsenal, their owners operate a very similar model to FSG: significant investment in the stadium and broader infrastructure of the club and in a quality manager who is well supported behind the scenes. With Villa, I’d be inclined to wait until they are at the same level as us before looking at them too closely.

The other thing a lot of people overlook with FSG is the player contracts: the days when we had to sell players we wanted to keep are behind us - the Coutinho / Suarez / Torres sagas were all a sign of Liverpool being a second-tier club, feeding clubs in the higher bracket with players we’d developed. It was embarrassing, but the owners did what they needed to do to put a stop to it and we are back in that top bracket again as a result.

Good question. I'll have a stab.

The Villa owners. Or maybe Aresnal's owners. Of the two, I'd edge toward Villa.

Could you really have an owner that employed Purslow?

      The Kroenke's

It's only cos they're doing well under Arteta that their fans are still not crying about their owners. Any dip under plazzy Pep and they'll start bitching again.

Haven't Arsenal spent £200mil more than us and what happened to the £300mil investment fsg took in. Like it or not money has to be INVESTED into the business to make it grow

The £200mil investment which was more than likely used to remove the loan debt from the club

Well the silence is deafening on the three players whose contracts expire in the summer, all three can sign for a new club from January and we would like to knowwhere are the club up to. The are more and more rumours that Arnold will leave on a free. If this happens the club are run by inept amatures. After the team beat United Salah was upset by the club not approaching him over a new contract, absolute AMATEURS

If LiP tells us they're going to sign, they're going to sign. Stress not.

How do you know either of the three haven't been approached, and they've all decided to hold back any decision until they see what the new manager brings. And previous to that, perhaps they've just decided they don't want to stay.
Do you have any inside information you could share with us, or are you just slagging off FSG because you can.  Just seems pointless to me when you clearly don't have any genuine information on either players stance. Just hearsay and speculation.

There would be some subtle pre-contractual discussion alluded to by any of the players mentioned, as things stand not a mention by the club or the player.
As usual no long term aspirations by FSG.
