I actually think Slot will have a tremendous amount of influence over signings. After all, when you consider Chiesa wasn't a Slot chosen player, and hasn't played 90 mins in almost an entire season, that tells me he knows what he wants and here's my shopping list Mr. Hughes.

Could also mean Mo refuses to take a seat and/or the organization doesn't want to ruffle his feathers with his future status uncertain

Still looking for that metronome type of midfielder who can play vertical passes under pressure.

A physical specimen wouldn’t go amiss either, bullied today - no way Klopps midfield would have let that happen.

We must have a lot of funds imo

From last season and the current. I don’t think it’s as much as I’ve been seeing (150/200 m)

My guess would be that will do the re build but our net spend won’t go over 100m

Key to the window is offloading players to reduce wages and bring in money to spend even more

We have the numbers but not the quality

Needed a good no.6 last summer and didn't get one, so can only hope for better next time around.

Problem I guess is we might loose players like VVD/TAA/Mo and need to replace them, maybe Kells or others too, tho do have a goalie coming in,  so even if we make a bunch of signings, could be running a bit to stand still.

Hopefully not though, and we can keep most of the quality guys, and then add more so we can go into next season with a stronger squad than we went into this.  Not that we did too bad this year, so far.

      Can see it now.

      Mo will leave for PSG

Club will say we have Elliot and Chiesa to share the roll, Chiesa will get much more game time now…. we will not be spending any money for that position.

I dislike the FSG but there is no way they gonna let all 3 walk in 1 season. We gonna reach a deal with both VVD and Salah, however Trent is gone and we better buy a replacement because Bradely is often injured

Other than we have sold players like Couthino or Suarez when have we gone big in the transfer market. We simply can't afford to replace 3 players of Virgil,Mo and Trent so it's really going to be a huge problem this summer

We aren't selling half of our squad. I don't know what people are smoking, I get the silence is annoying but no team is ever gonna let 5 of their starter players go all in 1 window.

We will not spend a single cent if possible. The manager is expected to bring in the CL money, but I doubt the club will back him in terms of transfer targets. He will have to achieve it on his own. I have an inking that he’s sending the message to the board not to bring in targets he doesn’t endorse like those who can hardly get a game, or he will show you that he’ll never use them.

They may not have a choice....

It's out of their hands if the players want to leave.

2 of them want to stay. That is clear. What is also clear is those 2 will have to leave if fsg refuse to pay the going rate for 2 players at that level. Why should they undersell themselves. They have more than earned new contracts befitting players of their quality.

If arnold wanted to stay, it would have been sorted by now. Hes fallen for the madrid dream sold to him by his mate Jude. It should never have got this far. More incompetence from the club.

So many get to the end of their contract here because a new contract generally means more money and the way they see it is that why should we do a new deal with 2 years left on more money when we can run down the current deal on the current wage. A dangerous game and we are about to be burned big time ... due to incompetence. Around 200 millions worth of talent walking away and not a cent to replace them.

Now if thats the case ... i would hope this has been the case for sometime and hughes/edwards have a plan in place to add 6/7 quality players in the summer to ensure we stay competing at the top. Because the others wont stand still , let alone stand still for 3 windows.

These parasites are also the reason the atmosphere is so fcuking sh*t at anfield these days. It was crap last tuesday and has been much the same for a while now bar the odd moment here and there. They couldnt care less if we had 60000 green men in there ... as long as theyre not local, they come to spend here there and everywhere etc.

The ground is losing the local lads that make the noise who are priced out and the next generation of local kids are being missed. Do they care? Do they fcuk.

So 60,000 local Green men are not welcome...but 60,000 Green men who have travelled from far far away are more than welcome? On the face of it that does seem unfair, and possibly illegal ;)

Where in my post did I say non locals were not welcome??? And why cant local people buy a ticket from the window anymore?

You can skirt round my point all you want, but the atmosphere is sh*te. The next local generation is being lost and the current one is being priced out or cant walk up the road to buy a ticket.  Its full of daytrippers  and holidaymakers and people happy to pay 300 quid from a dodgy online site and sit on their hands in silence and wait to be entertained. Wasnt like that when I was a kid. But when I was a kid they didnt make local lifelong supporters jump through hoops to have any chance of getting in. Locals were welcome back then and the lifeblood of the club. These days all fsg care about is getting the ones in with the deepest pockets. Funny that considering theyve had a free lunch here for 15 years and made a mint without putting a cent in. Fcuking parasites.

      It’s funny

On one hand you prob want to see lots of money being spent by the club to renew contracts and buy lots of top class players

But on the other hand you want the club to not to be able to afford to do that

Which is it you want ?

Cheap tickets for lots of fans which in turn means reduced revenue to spend on contracts and top class players

Or the club being in line with modern football and trying to bring in the revenue to be able afford the high wages and players

Football has moved on from the 70/80’s - it took FSG coming into the club to actually start to drag the club into modern football

And if you want to blame someone

Blame - Sky , the Prem and of course the players who are looking for the big wages
