That’s not what I asked. Do you always have to go round the houses with your answers or can you just for once put it in laymens terms and say yes or no. You must have some splinters in your arse sitting on that fence.  ;D

Maybe you should read the proceeding messages to get some context of the conversation instead of looking at single messages in isolation

The thread is about the owners and money spent not if its the right players being bought or not - there are other threads for that

FSG aren’t picking the players that arrive - Klopp and Co do - they have made the choice on which players arrive.

They aren’t telling them to spend the money on a forward instead of a midfielder, they didn’t tell the recruitment team to spend £40mil on Gakpo instead of Amrabat for example- that’s Klopps choice

So back this summer when Jürgen said he'd like the owners to risk more ie. loosen the purse strings, I guess that was only in relation to defenders and strikers, and not midfielders he wanted to sign.  Good to clear that up.

Know what your saying mate, Gakpo could be just the start for all we know, maybe it’s just that he was available to bring in immediately, rather than waiting until summer, he linked up well last night considering his first game, but you can see he has quality and will form a great trio with Robbo and Diaz left side, similar to Trent Harvey & Mo right side, I think Klopp knows what he needs, and will get, it’s just he and we need to be patient until the Spondoolies becomes available, and hope it’s not too late by then for certain targets.

Thought Gapko looked decent, some good touches, passes, intensity maybe wasn't what it needed to be, but understandable, only his first game. Big boy too, 6' 4", noticeably tall out there, but didn't look awkward.

Think Jürgen wants Bellingham and is willing to wait. Whether we get him, who knows. But even if we get him, he's not going to stroll in an sort out our midfield, if Jürgen wants to play the same high energy pressing game, will need a CM signing or two more.
But Jude is a super player, and it's guys of that quality we'll need to bring in to challenge for the title again.

These F***ing numpties have fu**ed us.
The midfield lads will do their best but they and Jürgen have been left up the poxy creek without a paddle.
Am not just pissed off about this season, which is already starting to peeter out.

It's the amount of work they have left us to do to get the midfield up to the standard that we would need to be to challenge for the title again. The lack of investment over many windows.

And why are we signing Gapko when we need to sign F***ing midfield quality, and have done for some time.
      Pretty frustrating.

Cos we were going to buy him in the summer, but due to Bobby, Jota and Diaz being injured, brought the deal forward.

Klopp should not be making those decisions. He should give input, but a coach’s interest is not necessarily the best long-term interest of the team. A coach wants to win now, because his job is on the line and doesn’t think as much about the future.

Yet it was fine for the previous how many years  before with managers buying players.

We have, just that I'm not slagging Nunez with him being foreign and his first season.

Ah yes, dropped points so it must be someone else's fault that we couldn't beat a team in the relegation zone.

For what it’s worth ( nothing ) I’ve still not made my mind up about how good/bad Nunez is either.

His all round game is good

Just needs to find the onion bag on consistent basis and he'll be fine.

But still not as good as Mane presently, obviously the jury still out, especially on Nunez.

Same Mane who is 13th in scoring in the Bundesliga.

Which is what we all say about young players. Unfortunately not always the case as we all know.
