If the whole of the game wasn't awash with oil and oligarch money the FSG model would be about the most successful way to run a football club, leaving aside their occasional lack of tact. As it stands it is not far off the next best thing, just takes a bit longer to have success and then sustain it.

Which is what we all say about young players. Unfortunately not always the case as we all know.

I think it’s clear that both players have a heck of a lot potential and both have shown that ability

Nunez for someone who is being called a flop has so far one less goal than Rashford and the same assists and also better stats than Antony as an example

That Anthony cost more and has done very little indeed.  Spotlight has been more in Darwin and I think he has done well

But still not as good as Mane presently, obviously the jury still out, especially on Nunez.

I'll take you mean Mane in his prime.

We didn't buy that Sadio Mane either. Took him at least a season to settle and develop into the monster forward he became.

Jesus Keith still strange you can be bothered this much to debate so much about another club on here.

Football is all about opinions Si, doesn't matter what team you support we can all pass judgement. From what ive seen of your new signings so far not as good as Mane, in time maybe but not just yet.

Nunez will come good, no doubt about it. All the signs are there.

Just read that some Quatar Investment Group is interested, even about a full take over. Show me the money....

      Hope not.
I’d rather we just joined that super league idea than sell out to the oil.

The same group that own PSG - which means they can’t buy a club in the CL

The same group who've also been courted by Spurs if you believe the media over the last 24 hours.

But guys, we need the dough. I am sick seeing how far Klopp can bring us with limited ressources. Give him City money and repeat our 80s dominance. Morality left us years ago, so what the heck. I wanna see us rule one last time before football will break down due to E-Sports (its estimated in about 15 years).

Then we should have joined the super league.

The very purpose of the Super League was to postpone the E-Sport wave that will hit in a decade. I remember Madrid's president specifically mentioning it. But the whole idea was weird, it just does not fit. It would make much more sense to take the PL and impose a draft and salary cap system which would prevent teams like City...and then extend it to other leagues and CL. I mean basically we had a salary cap system till City showed that it was malfunctioning.

Not arsed about it being free, but being able to take it to my seat would be a start.

Huge jump but wages still at 62% of turnover.

Looking at it there should be money to invest as long as we ship out some of the deadwood on big wages to balance the books.

And I mean there should be money to spend now without having to wait.
