First time I can remember that Liverpool, financially, have been ahead of United.
That's the litmus test right there.

Like wise racer, testament to a great season and obviously playing more games than anyone else due to the finals. Credit where credits due.

We can only spend what we make, that’s FSG’s model. Remember that.

I see there's still confusion (somehow) between revenue and income.

Pretty sure stadium redevelopment costs have come out our costs to reduce the tax burden etc

It’s a shame, if we only invested in our midfield in the summer, it would helped so
Much, the mistake has cost us cl football, so probably around 50-60m total revenue, all because of a structure that’s too stingy and a Manager too loyal

I hope we do get Qatar owners and have a decent budget in the summer to go strong

But if we do finished 6/7/8

We have a wage bill that’s probably number 4 in the country, a few players have to go to get that down as we are overpaying and they are not delivering

Where are you seeing that? The Reddit thread I was reading through is saying anywhere from 70-200 (actual numbers won’t be announced till March).

That’s the overall bottom line loss/profit and also depending on the what date it’s taken from.

The football accountant on Twitter has it until the end of summer transfer window I believe with the profit at 33m

I bet he's got an Excel spreadsheet compiled with all his financial workings to back up his own bullshit too.

Honestly you do have to wonder about the sanity of some of these loons and the mental gymnastics they think up wanting to know about every £ spent by the club.

And isn’t his estimated revenue number wrong according to Deloitte’s numbers? Deloitte says 700m he says 596?

Exchange rate. Deloitte is quoting 700M Euros and the Cordell is quoting 596M GBP.

Well he’s about 16m pounds off still in his conversion. Guess we will have to wait for the actual numbers in March. Either way there is money to spend to strengthen the team even without selling players.

What point are we getting at here anyway, that net income (profit) is what we’ve got to spend on transfers?

It could be Deloitte that is off for all we know.

In LFCs case, GBP is the local currency, so it is Deloitte that is converting currencies not the other way around. Even then, because LFC is a global brand with revenues across multiple countries, those revenues have to be converted to GBP so it's a big cluster to figure out. You can't just take the current exchange rate, apply it, and think you're going to tie. P&L's get converted to local currencies at the end of each month using the average exchange rate throughout the respective month.
