The way our players were smashing the ball anywhere in the last 20 minutes of the Blackburn game was crazy.

There's no way Agger would be doing that, he would slow it down and start passing the ball. I really think Agger has got to play.

Most of roys comments since the start of the season point to one conclusion.

Roy Hodgeson sets himself very low levels of acheivment.

And then fails to reach them.

There is rumours today that Arsenal and Spurs could be interested in him in January, if he is allowed go I'll never forgive you Roy.

Our best centre half it is outrageous the treatment he has recieved from Roy.

We should not be surprised that Roy has totally misjudged Daniel Agger in the same way he has about so many issues involving LFC, or maybe there is a sub plot here and he wants to drag us back to the bottom three to his comfortable depth.

wouldn't surprise me if teams of champions league quality and aspirations want him. him and skrtl are the future of our defence and should be harvessed to be the firt choice cb pairing. he's a great tackler, good in the air, very very comfortable on the ball, passes well, attacks and occasionally scores.

if roy sells him on, i'd be even more livid. get a feckin grip roy.

Not played him this season, or perhaps once... I would rather Agger in out defence than sitting in the stands!

No player is bigger than the club, but you need to play your best players in each game.

Have they had a bust up though?

Agger made some comments he was happy at LFC the other, can't remember where I saw them though.

Six times in the league, once in the league cup and twice in Europe - and Agger has been left out because he is injured.

      I think they have... Especially since Agger publicy stated that he is not happy with the way Roy sets out his team to play;

Not sure where the original article came from, so I cannot quote a decent source!

So basically yeah, there has been something of a bust up.

So nothing other than the injury is going on then? On average he has played 60 mins per apperance - that dosent seem right for a CB...

Do you think Agger should be playing?

I don't know if there is anything more going on behind the scenes, but it is not true to say he hasn't played.  He did play a few games at LB in Konchesky's absence.

If he is not injured, of course he should play, him and Skrtel are our future - even though Soto is earning his place at present.

I think Agger should be a shoe in to start with Krygiakos. I worry about Skrtel. To be honest I think hes pretty sh*t. Ever since his injury at Man City in 08/09, he came back dodgy. Makes very rash challenges and can be easily caught out by pacey strikers.
I would have Agger and Sotis starting imo..

I agree Soto is doing a great job at the moment - but with teams allegidly sniffing about its a worry...

Also if he does need to come back its going to take a while for him to find his feet again. For me if he is not injured then he starts, i dont know if he is injury free, but I beleive Roy isent his biggest fan.

Agger is a wonderfully talented CB, and should be one of the first names on the team sheet when fit!  I don't know if there has been a falling out between him and Roy, but I find it odd that there have been different reasons for leaving him out in the past few weeks.  First it was injury, then it was illness, and this week it was back to the injury issue.  If he was really injured, then why even cite the illness as a reason?

I don't think Roy understands the concept of CB's that can play.  He obviously likes the get and hoof it philosophy.  And that is one of the problems with his tactics.  If Agger goes, it will be a BIG loss for the club and is against what John Henry promised us.

Incidentally, has anyone noticed Reina doing less kicking in the last couple of games?  Maybe there have been discussions about being 'less' English  ;D

Reina has always beeing a great distributor with the ball. I've seen many examples of him setting us on a counter attack with a huge throw or a fine pass. One of the best distibutors of the ball as a keeper in the world.

If Agger leaves because Roy pissed him off- i would never forgive him!

He over looks Pacheco, drops Agger, & plays everyone out of position.

Agger reminds me of a young Carra- reliable & passionate!
