Could Sammy Lee Manage Liverpool

I was not advocating that Sammy should be our manager,I was more interested in what his actual input is regarding team selection and how much he contributes to our training methods.
Like you I have the utmost respect for Sammy for what he did as a player and know that he is Liverpool through and through.

No. He won't be a good choice for manager. Decent coach but if I'm being truthful I'd rather see Pako Ayesteran and Alex Miller back in the dugout ahead of Sammy. Those two and Rafa made a truly effective team. Sad when both went and I think it showed to an extent.

No, sorry Sammy, God bless ya mate but i think he would be better in the background maybe helping with the bin lids(kids), we have the chance to bring a new manager and he(whoever) will most probably bring his own assistant, I'm sure Sammy is aware of what happens when new owners/manager is imminent, it would be sad to see Sammy leaving without having a role in some capacity if he so wished, i'd rather have people like Sammy at the club rather than crafty Christian.

 Thank you for all the replies,I guess I got the answer I was looking for that Sammy would be better as a coach than on the managerial side.In retrospect I could of titled the thread better,I have watched Sammy on match days he does seem out of his depth alongside Hodgson and that saddens me knowing how much he has put into L.F.C.

I see him once or twice a week, he is a thorough gentleman! But is a gentleman what is require to run a team like Liverpool?

I saw Houllier and Gary Mc in the Malmaison the weekend of Jamies testermonial the closeness and gerneral boby langauge between the two of them was excellent!

Sammy is a number 2 at best. The Manager's job at Bolton was proved to be too big for him so there is no way he could even be considered. Huge respect for the guy but he doesn't seem to be getting the regular praise that he was before he left so I wonder if he is commanding the same respect that he used to.
