This would make alot of sense even if it wasn't everyone's (including mine) first choice. Does this mean that the Alves deal is dead?

I can't see us stumping up enough to get Alves (although I hope I'm wrong!)... Malbranque's obviously a good player and would prob be a good signing at the right price, although he has a tendency to go missing at times. Can't wait to see Gonzales in a red shirt though.... that boy looks like some player!!

They want 12 million for alves so think rafa will go for the cheaper option as we need a few new players and not sure if we've got the backing for whats needed.

If do try to get alves we've got some stiff competition from AC Milan an Barca.

Yeh both have shown intrest but alves has hinted he wanted to play in the premiership and also play for us so fingers crossed he comes.
