Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part I
      Nov 12, 2010 01:12:34 pm
I saw on the news this morning that the London premiere was yesterday. Anybody planning to see this?

It doesn't premiere here until next Friday and I will be seeing it then. I am a huge fan of both the books and the films. No, I'm not a purist who disapproves of the differences between the two. I think they've done a great job with this franchise.

      So, who is going then?

Oh, I have to get something off my chest. Is it wrong for me to be ogling Emma Watson? It feels wrong, though she is like 19 or 20 by now. I saw her on the red carpet and she was stunning!

Can't wait for this, though it'll be out over here a lot later on I imagine.

I've read the books and enjoy the films too, hope the darkness of the final novel is reflected in this.

      And yes, Eric, you're a perv! :D

I didn't expect you guys saying so open heartdly that you like it! Here in Brazil, it seems, a lot of people reject Harry Potter to look clever - "it's not literature, blablabla". It's funny to note that, in most cases, these people read the books when they were younger.

I love it though. Read the first book when I was 11/12 years old and only finished the 7th last year, cause I had stopped reading it after the 5th book (for no reason but lazyness). I found myself wanting not to finish the book :( Can't wait for the films.

Yeah I'm the same.  I've read the books from I was in Primary school and queued up at midnight when I was in Australia to get the last book.  They mightn't be classed as literature or indeed have the best prose in the world, but they're some of the most enjoyable books I have ever read.  So much so that I have lost count how many times I have read each of them, although I do know I've read the last one 3 times. :D

Not a huge fan of the films, although I have enjoyed the last two more than the first ones, which like the early books, seem to be aimed more at children.  Having said that, the trailers for the Deathly Hallows look amazing.

As for Emma Watson, I've been ogling her from about The Prisoner of Azkaban - but that's okay, I am of an age with her. ;)

Started reading the books when i was 11, and ever since then i got the newest book on release date and finished it within a couple days. Yes, i love Harry Potter :D I like both the books and films as well, earlier films not as much but thats just down to the kids being young and not liking their acting as much. Feel they grew into the roles a lot better by the time Azkaban came around.

Will be seeing this in cinemas, no doubt. Missed out on the last one at cinemas cos Laura still hasn't read the last couple books, and refuses to see them until she reads the books. Told her F**k it, she can stay home cos i aint missing out on the last films! :D

Oh, and ive been ogling Miss Watson since about the time of Azkaban as well - but like Matt, im about her age ;)

Though i would be no matter what age, so its okay Eric :D

      I feel vindicated. ;D

Agree with you about the movies, too. Azkaban was a giant step up for the series. I'm not sure if any of them have matched that quality for me either. Maybe Order of the Phoenix.

I feel it's become boring because they have too many movies of it but I have to watch it because I've seen 1-6 already.

I'm the same age (20) as her so it wouldn't hurt to see Emma Watson one last time, though. :lmao: :lmao:

Yeah, I do! It could have been a trilogy or a quadrilogy though,

I bet the trio will look like working people now. They grow up so fast but at least they used the same actors/actresses for all the movies.

Yet to see it. Turned down gold class tickets a mate of mine won to see the premiere in Sydney because i had other stuff on but it hurt me deep down.

I love Harry Potter. Every film has been brilliant but i'm still seething that they didn't show the Quidditch World Cup in the Goblet of Fire.

I'm obsessed with HP. Started Harry Potter series pretty late, but within a month had finished all the 6 parts, and then finished the 7th book on the day of release itself. :D

Anyway, saw the movie. Not bad, but found it a tad bit too slow. Kinda drags on in between.

Emma Watson looks hotter than in any of the previous movies. :o ;) ( I'm 17+ so I don't have any guilty feeling in ogling at her, unlike some of you. :P )

Same here mate. Was so pissed they didn't make more of a spectacle of the whole thing, wouldn't have taken that much film time to show it.

Yet to see it as well, mainly because stubborn Laura refuses to see them until shes finished the books. Im seriously just like screw you, you've had F***ing years to read the damn things :D Might have some beers and go see it by myself once i finish my exams on wednesday :D

Saw this yesterday! On my own as well, since Laura refuses to see the films until shes read the books - still yet to read 5, 6 & 7 she is. Seriously, i keep telling her just to F***ing watch the movies as shes had plenty of time to read! I had every book read as soon as they came out! :D

Anyways, it was awesome. But, it did feel kinda like it was lacking at the end, which is no doubt due to the fact its only the first half, so obviously expected. Was just a weird feeling to walk out with, ya know? Especially now we have to F***ing wait 6 months! :D

Still, loved it. Gonna get my hands on a copy of the book again and give it a read (my copies are all back in Australia).

Oh, and Emma Watson. Oh. My. F***ing. God. Marry me.
