I like how his name consists entirely of slang terms for genitals.

I really don't think Roy is thinking about selling Johno.... If he was, we'd be seeing Kelly feature more now even though Glen is fit again.  I think if we buy Fanni it is because Roy is thinking about possibly selling Agger and using Kelly as a utility player who can cover at CB.  Let's not forget that Martin started off as a CB.  If this was to happen we'd have:

      RB:  Johno and Fanni
      LB:  Aurelio and Konch
CB:  Sotis, Skrtel, Carra, and Wilson
      * Kelly can play anywhere along the back line

I love Agger and think he's one of the best in the world when fit, but he rarely seems to be fit.  I think we receive offers in the 12 million range we should seriously consider them because the worst thing that could happen is if we hold onto him for years and he pulls a Johnny Woodgate/Owen Hargreaves.... We could also bring Ayala back from his loan to add depth at CB.

Sick of hearing that Kelly will be our future RB regardless of Johno's future.

Kelly is our future center back. End of.

      Is he better then Johnson?

At 29 is he a worthwhile signing? Granted 3 million isnt breaking the bank but what will we get out of him 1 maybe 2 good seasons?

He is not better than Johnson but not very far from his level.

His pace is impressive (for a 29yr old he's not showing any sign of losing his legs) as his reading of the game and you often never see the winger he mark getting a good ball for the whole match (now it's Ligue 1 wingers, not PL ones).

He is a reasonably good crosser and has a good passing range, but is a far less good dribbler and probably not as good finisher as Jonhson. His speed make him a good counter attacker anyway, but he often lose challenges if he recieve a ball while not running.

The main problem is : will he adapt to PL fast enough, considering he don't have that many seasons at his actual level left (especially being on the bench most of the time if he is purchased as number two RB).
