Would of loved the Aussies to set us a lead of like 3 and Cook to hit the winning run. Would of topped the series off a treat that, but never mind winning by an innings will do just as well.

But if that happened then we wouldn't become the first team ever to win three Tests by an innings in the same series away from home.

Nice end to Colly's Test career. Not his best series but at least he's going out as an Ashes winner.

There we go. England 3-1 and far far too good throughout the whole series.

Player of the series - Alistair cook? Or Jimmy Anderson?

Ali Cook. Anybody averaging over 100 in an Ashes series deserves player of the series.

Its been a brilliant series with so many stand out performances, so many records being broken as well. Feels great to win down under for the first time in 24 years!

Extremely proud of all the players.

Cook for me - outstanding batting, good in the field, and proved his critics wrong in a huge way.

A bit disappointed in the Aussies - they call us whingers?

A bit of a rebuilding job for them.

Maybe if we win one more we can say the same as they did about not really having decent opponents...

Well it's been stunning from England. What a tour. Bar that blip in Perth they really have made Australia look like amateurs. What an incredibly different situation from 4 years ago.

Cook as well is my man of the series. Just faultless and incredible. Similar to Michael Vaughan's performance with the bat 8 years ago Down Under...only better. And I am Vaugny's biggest fan!

What a series. It's a shame it's all over. I just hope the nation recognises these real sportsmen, unlike those dicks who went to South Africa last June.

^ You mean in Perth, not Adelaide. Adelaide wasn't so good for us, you beat us by an innings and plus some!

      Sorry - Perth! Edited it.

But looking back, the Perth result was really freaky considering England won 3 by an innings.

Only the best domestic player we have, White. Been the best captain in Australian cricket since Steve Waugh.

Gotta admit I don't know much about White, haven't seen enough of him. Maybe it's what your lads need though a new captain to freshen the place up.

Yeah, cos it stinks of sh*t.

Another poor performace from Aus in the field, highlight today had to be the 6 from Tremlett! ;D

      Mitchell Johnson is pish.
