For me and 'grunge' it's Screaming Trees every time. ... Forget the rest - here's the best:

Grunge bands produced the best MTV Unplugged's of all time.

Nirvana & Alice in Chains. Just perfect.

I saw the Pearl Jam live a few years ago, it was immense. I remember Black was almost 10 minutes long. They also played 'I Believe in Miracles' by the Ramones and a The Who song, can't remember which one.

Oh hello, how did I miss this thread :o
Strange I should find it now as I'm sat at work listening to Soundgarden's Superunknown album (4th of July, to be precise).

I have a fairly broad taste in music but this was without doubt my favourite era / genre. Just wish I had my own pc so I could post up some clips.

Yup, I'm off to see Kyuss in April  ;D
I love Screaming Trees as well, there's a video on YouTube of Witness live featuring Josh Homme. It's excellent.

The live version of Release is incredible. Vedders voice when that builds...wow

I'll be keeping tabs on this thread now.

I just happened to be in the right place and time during that whole grunge time.  I saw PJ right when "Ten" was released and they were not that popular yet.  It was one of their early shows in 91-92' and none of my friends had heard of them yet. I grabbed my buddy and told him he needs to check these guys out that they are one of the best live bands he will ever see. They started with Evenflow then Alive. I have seen a lot of bands and concerts and this was easily one of the top 3 concerts I have ever seen.  They were just electric and amazing. Eddie Vedder completely owned the crowd and I will never forget that show.   During Alive he climbed the scaffolding around the stage and dove 20 feet into the crowd landing on me and my friend. It was fantastic.

I was also lucky enough to see Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Rage against the Machine, Fugazi, Operation Ivy, Descendants, Black Flag (w/ Rollins).  Unfortuneatly I never saw Nirvana.  I had a chance to see them in NY and sold my tix and said I would catch them the next time. Cobain died a short time later. Big regret on my part.

However I did see Jimi Hendrix live.  Kind of, my mother was pregnant and went to see him play at one his last shows. But I was there.

Pearl Jam concert was amazing, but I had to miss Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots :( They only played in a festival in São Paulo, I didn't have the money for the travel + tickets. Should have come to Rio, I would go crazy in a Alice in Chains concert.

Damn, that's a shame, Diego. William DuVall has really settled in with Alice In Chains now and they're stunning live.

Still, seeing Pearl Jam live is always an amazing experience   :gt-happyup:

I love all of their stuff but this song just does it for me. Could listen to it over and over again. Have been really pleased at how they've evolved over time.

Been to 5 concerts including the first one they did after the Roskilde tragedy. Was also lucky enough to see them from the 4th row at Riverbend in Cincinnati, Ohio. Don't think any musical experience will ever compare to that.
