By the way....going to see Cornell in St. Petersburg (Florida) Oct 30th. It will just be him in his acoustic tour but I can't wait....he does such an awesome show.

Word is they have enough material for another Lost Dogs type album.

Read a recent interview with McCready and it sounds like a new PJ album is coming next year.

More excited about another album of B-tracks than a new studio album to be honest. Haven't really dug their last two efforts too much.

      Don't apologise.
Always worth a bump and "Lost Dogs" is mega.

Definitely one of my favorite Pearl Jam albums in the same way "The Masterplan" is one of my favorite Oasis albums. Some great tracks didn't make the cut.

I would actually argue that Backspacer is one of their best if not their best effort. And I'm not a come lately fan who just likes the newer stuff. I cut my teeth on Ten, first show was Toledo in '96. I just think musically and cohesively Backspacer is on point from start to finish.

Backspacer didn't do it for me. I didn't think the writing was as sharp as Eddie's previous efforts, and I think Mike and Stone have gotten a little stale in their guitar playing, which is not an unusual thing. All guitarists tend to get into these ruts in their playing and start to get a touch repetitive. The problem is Pearl Jam just don't have any competition left anymore, so there's no one driving them to better themselves and explore the fretboard more.

Plus, Obama is the president, so Eddie has less stuff to bi*ch about ;D

See I disagree, I play guitar and most of their earlier stuff is easier for me to play but their latest albums are a bit more complex and layered.

And I think there is a difference between angry Eddie and political Eddie. Angry Eddie is good, political Eddie doesn't do anything for me.

Of the music from my childhood only Vedder, Cornell & Corgan remain.

When music is an outlet by those that struggle with demons
      sometimes the demons win.

      RIP Scott.

Good news today...Pearl Jam announced their US tour. Looks like they have 4 dates in Florida. Tickets go on sale the 29th, going to try and snag a couple for the Ft. Lauderdale show. Haven't seem them live in over a decade. Pretty pumped.
