It'll be difficult but if we can contain Van der Vaart, Bale, and Lennon we have a good chance.

MUCH easier said than done, mate.

Lennon, Bale and VdV to rip us a new one.

Just can't find myself being optimistic about this one. Away, negative, lack midfield strength, it's a recipe for disaster.

Big plus though is Cole on the bench. We don't need his cutting in from the left today (if we even need it ever) in a 4-4-2.

Optimism is acceptable, but it's outright lunacy to be optimistic today.

Fair points mate. Although Van Der Vaart will look to use the space between our midfield and defence meaning Lucas has to track him which could result in Meireles being in a bit of bother against Modric and Palacios (if the latter looks to get forward that is).

I think we can win, but we have no chance if Roy sets us up the same way as all our performances away from Anfield so far.

F**k off with your common sense mate.  We're play 2 F***ing STRIKERS which equals an attacking lineup.  They don't need F***ing service, there just needs to be 2 OF THEM.  Then if we lose, it's because we had TOO MUCH OF AN ATTACKING LINEUP.  Doesn't matter HOW you deploy the other 8 people, 2 F***ing STRIKERS YEAH?

Doubt Palacios will get forward though, think Huddlestone will come on at half time to do that ;)

edit: YOU DO REALISE WE'RE PLAYING WITH 2 UP FRONT YES?  WE'VE GOT TWICE AS MANY TARGETS TO HOOF THE BALL TO, TWO F***ing STRIKERS, AWWWWW YEAH.  Don't worry about that "group of people" in the middle.  We've got a "formidable" chance of hoofing the ball upfield to a target because we're playing 2 UP FRONT.  2!!!!

A positive line up, but i still expect us to resort to long balls up to N'Gog!

really hoped Aurelio would  have been in the line up instead of Konchy,  but not a bad line up all in all

Why isn't Kyrgiakos playing? I think Soto's heading ability is much needed to keep Crouch quiet. Big mistake there i think by Roy.

He's picked arguably our best lineup. Let's see if they play the right way. Bale has yet to play someone with Kuyt's energy.

Hodgson teams could play without midfielders because he bypasses them most of the time anyway.

I'm as optimistic as a Turkey who survive Thanksgiving, only to realize it's the run up to Xmas & he's just spotted the Cranberry Sauce.

C'mon Roy's XI, prove me wrong.
