England won't win. FIFA hate us. Europe hates us. Etc.

Did you know that bidding countries must get their Government to sign a secret binding agreement that exempts FIFA from paying any tax on its profit, indemnifies any FIFA employees/delegates from any prosecution and basically introduces a whole load of anti-competition laws protecting markets etc for FIFA's commercial partners.

Put it this way If England get it and we get a game here, the hat and scarf sellers on Walton Breck Road will get blitzed by Sepp's cops.

Watched the bid on SSN and had to listen to them bigging up Cameron for "Ad-libbing his speech", is that the same as learning his speech? Sort of a prerequisite for a Counties leader, unless your George Bush JR that is. What a big bag of sh*te. I like Cameron less than Hodgson and that's saying something.

It certainly is saying something. Are you sure it's right? Hodgson is pretty bad :lmao:

The two videos from Spain and Belgium were both awful. Reeked of cheap production, everything from the music to the stock footage.

Russia and England's videos seemed stronger and more to the point. I think it's between us and Russia overall in the bid to be fair, especially as the euro is going down the shi**er.

Excellent programme on tonight at 12.30am on BBC1 for anyone not interested in the cricket, Panorama: Fifa's Dirty Secrets and is all to do with the corruption allegations against some of officials who will today be voting on who hosts the world cup.

I was to young to remember 1966 but the buzz of Euro 96 was brilliant and a World Cup would be even bigger. Its just a shame nobody likes us  especailly when you call the Voters corrupt.

I imagine the top lads at the FA have puckered up arse's at the moment, they may finally manage to pay off that costly stadium they made if England wins the World Cup!

Got to say after the 98 World Cup Beckham was supposed to be finished in this country. I was really anti Beckham but the lad has done tremendously well for England and has conducted himself perfectly since then infact it probably did him a favour.
Definitely squeeky bum time (who said that).Lets face it without the politics it is a no brainer.

A very good presentation by England.

Looking good for the moment. However, I won't stay too optimistic.

Unfortunately I don't think the 'great and the good' in any big decision actually decide on simply the facts.

I can see it going to Russia.

Three of Prince William, David Beckham and David Cameron have done a brilliant 110% job. But I doubt it as FIFA are a corrput body.

Totally agree. It's his strong point just like Tony Blair.

But it doesn't seem to have been enough. According to the BBC the England team are looking glum in the hall. What a shame. Seems it'll either go to the undeserving borefest Spain/Portugal bid or the other borefest Russia bid. Such a shame Holland and Belgium bid won't win.

Media reports angling towards an England failure.

      Absolute joke if true.
