      -------

Fernando Torres returns to the Liverpool starting XI for tonight's clash at Newcastle United - listen live online from 5.25pm.

The Spain star is back in the line-up after he missed Monday's win over Aston Villa due to the birth of his son.

It means Roy Hodgson makes one change to his team, with Ryan Babel dropping down to the bench.

Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Konchesky, Skrtel, Kyrgiakos, Meireles, Lucas, Kuyt, Maxi, Ngog, Torres. Subs: Jones, Kelly, Aurelio, Poulsen, Cole, Jovanovic, Babel.

Shame Babel got dropped after a good performance, still on the bench mind, and a good attacking bench it is. Lets have 'em!

Good bench that. Cole, Jova and Babel all provide attacking options if needed.

Pretty much expected though that lineup.

More then enough!! Go on Reds!!!

shame about Babel, but at least Roy sent out an attacking team, with an attacking bench. 4 attacking players on the bench.

No surprise to see Nando back, Babel, fresh legs on the bench if needed.

Thought Babel deserved a starting place today after the Villa match, still we got Nando back, bonus, Toon will be bricking it, new boss, irate fans, lets get on top from the off we are miles better than them, C'mon Redmen, 1-3 victory and another step forward.  YNWA

If I had to drop Babel or Ngog I also would have chosen Babel to go on the bench.

Babel did have a good game, but Ngog 'deserves' the chance more on his form over more than one game.

If needed Babel can come off the bench.  Agree with the comments about the bench starting to look a little bit better.

Can't really follow the game as I'm going to a concert but obviously I'll look out for the result.

      Hopefully another win!

It is good to see Torres back,a repeat scoreline of the 28th December 08 will do very nice thank you.On that occasion we beat them 5-1 at Newcastle.I would like to see the lads keep the foot down when we go ahead and not give them any chance of coming back,it will do the goal difference some good.

I'm hoping Torres has got a t-shirt on under his shirt, with the name of his newborn son.

And he has to score a hat-trick before he can show it.

That is a good attacking line up if used the right way. Should be good enough to beat a deflated Newcastle team IMO.
