Sad to say mate but we were lacking in the previous thirds as well.

Four players stood around the ball for one particular free kick. Dani, JJ, Joe and Fabulous. . . Next time Joe maybe give the ball back to Dani or let Fabulous show you how it's done

Post match interview with an obligatory face rub at 2:47.As regards his comments, there are many Woyisms especially on one in which he says "This is a difficult arena, it's hard to play here". Which would be an OK comment if the stupid tw*t wasn't talking about our lads.

Just wondering what people thought of Eccleston last night.  Movement, touch etc?
Didnt look hungry enough for me.

His touch was poor at times and he was never on the last line of defence, stretching them and keeping them on their toes.

      Wasnt impressed.

Surprised Pacheco didn't get a start even there was nothing to play for it would have been a good game to get some match time, only watched the first half TBH as I was falling asleep by then even!  Looks like Paulson has been training hard!  :lmao:  now I'm no expert, but if you can't control the ball by yourself, don't try and accept a pass.

      Good result though!

What can you say, two teams who knew their fate going into the match in front of a bunch of kids desperate to see their heroes and instead got that. Both sides should of just went out and played football as the result had no bearing on either side or the group, entertained the youngsters (most who probably won't get to Anfield too often) and for the first time in a long time enjoyed the football we played.

Instead it was a F***ing dismal performance. One of the worst I've seen from any Liverpool side. The expirenced players didn't do enough to push for a start into the first team and looked as if they felt too good to be involved in this match, the younger players did alright without any really excelling but Kelly did do alright after a shaky start.

Utrecht played football along their back four but not much in our half.

      Was just dire all round.

Not one to pop into the scrap book lets put it that way.

On a positive note, it's another clean sheet at Anfield and another game we've gone unbeaten. When things are as bad as they were in that game, I'll cling to anything to be somewhat proud of.

It was all in all terrible.

I cant cling to anything only that the owners saw again why Roy has to go.

thought Kelly + Wilson did ok, and Pacheco looked like he wanted to attack when he came on before he got moved out wide

Its a fact that roy's football mentality is boring, it is showing with liverpool, it showed with fulham ,etc etc,. never go for it just sit back try and defend your half maybe a chance will appear to nick a goal, then defend more than before , his teams are always 10/15 meters back , thats why the strikers he plays are always isolated , if you watch the game again(god help you doing that) very, very few attacks started from our midfield, most of were from long passes from defenders, ,
really depressing,, especially when you play at HOME and home is ANFIELD ,  never saw anfield so quiet (can't  blame the home crowd for that, seeing what they were watching) the dutch fans were always on top of the home crowd

enough for me about this game , I'm getting gutted again  writing this

F***ing sh*te. Utter soulless performance and the same old F***ing boring cautious tactics.

I was expecting players like Cole, Babel and Jovanovic to have a firm impact on the game yet they went through the motions so much, it was embarrassing to witness.

The only good thing about last night was a bit of hunger from both Shelvey and Kelly and some sharp vision from Pacheco. Other than that, listening to the away fans sing their songs was more inviting (especially the Laurel & Hardy chant to the pigs!! Superb).

10 of my lads football team went (10 yr olds). Trying to tell them afterwards that its not normally this sh*te was very difficult. The only saving grace is that me mate who sits next to me cant go to the fulham game and so I'm taking my lad. He will see a virtually different team turn out that will hopefully give the fans something to shout about. Also, it could have been worse, it could have been as cold as it was for the Villa game!!!

Full marks for the Utrecht version of Yellow Submarine +++
