Carlos Tevez 'not ruling out transfer to Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs or Chelsea'

      http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/850542-carlos-tevez-not-ruling-out-transfer-to-liverpool-arsenal-spurs-or-chelsea

Carlos Tevez is not ruling out staying in England when he eventually engineers a move away from Manchester City, with sources close to the player suggesting he would be interested in joining Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool.

Recent speculation has suggested the Argentinean international wants to leave City because he has not settled in England, with a return to South America or a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid his most likely destinations.

However, an Argentinean journalist close to Tevez and his family has suggested the striker is not ruling out staying in the Premier League - a statement likely to attract attention from some of the biggest clubs in the division.

'Carlos is unhappy with Manchester City and some of the relationships in the club - he is not unhappy with England, with the Premier League,' she said.

'He says he is tired, he is mentally and physically tired, but the impression he gives is that he will not give up football - and his motivation is not money.

'Carlos will join another club, and although Spain offers him another option - one where his family may be prepared to move nearer to him - he could stay in England.'

Tevez's reported weekly wage of £286,000 - after tax - would prove an insurmountable stumbling block for any potential suitor.

However, the 26-year-old is prepared to accept a substantial drop in pay to move to a club where he will feel more comfortable.

Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea can all offer Tevez the Champions League football he would crave - as well as a return to London where, while he was with West Ham, he is said to have felt more comfortable than his three years in Manchester.

Tevez is also rumoured to be an admirer of Liverpool's history and received a glowing reference from international team-mate Javier Mascherano, who played for the club for two seasons.

Despite leaving Anfield under something of a cloud, Mascherano is believed to have praised the club's supporters and the atmosphere at home games - although he relationship with the Reds was soured by the departure of manager Rafael Benitez.

There's more chance of me winning the lottery!

Seriously though, why sign a player who'll want to move on in 6 months? He's the new Anelka.

Not to mention the fee and the wages.

      And pigs might fly...

He blatantly wants to go to Barca!

Wow, we are being "Linked" with someone who I've heard of.

But..... not going to happen. £286,000 after tax!

What's that? £500,000 before tax, a week FFS £26m, that's Torres plus change!

If he goes anywhere, he will not get the money he is on at City. Only Spurs would pay that sort of stupid money. Arsenal won't as they have a pay structure in place, Chelsea, are not doing that any more, and we can not.

But why be linked to clubs down the road when you are "home sick"? Sorry, did I say Home sick, meant to say, as Gow as said, off to Barca.

      Hahaha at Man City.

Wonder how much longer before David Silva and the rest think the same.

I do not think another English club would touch him, what with his exorbitant wages and his lack of loyalty why would any club be arsed.

I definitely smell bullshit with all this homesickness sh*te. He'll move from City to Manchester United (further west in Salford) or Liverpool because it's a bit closer to Argentina? :f_tongueincheek:

Lets just say we meet the value city put on him. And then we agree to pay him £286000 a week after tax (My God hes a footballer isnt he ?) But answe me this, why would we? He got his move from utd to city and now has threatend retirement to get his move from there. He has his family in Argentina thats where he wants to be, any English club who goes near him are off there head

Him and Torres would be F***ing quality up top.

Shame we'll lose Torres eh! ;)

Joking aside, his wages and loyalty make this a no go but I kind of hate how everyone goes on about his United to City switch. The lad was on loan there, United wasted the chance to sign him, I doubt he even wanted to leave.

Back at the time we signed Masch, I would have given my left nut to get Tevez here.
As much as I hate everything ManUre, there was always a hint of admiration for Carlos, not just because of his talent but because of his fight and desire to win.
Now, his true colours have shown through and it's clear he is another footballing mercenary with no sence of loyalty.
I admit that the thought of him alongside Nando would be immense but I don't want him here, not now.

The way City operates, it seems a breeding ground for mercenaries.

I don't want Tevez very good player but his wages make me feel sad inside.

Of course he's a brilliant player but do we want to buy somebody that's going to leave a year later?

      No point. No.
