German clubs offer Jovanovic an escape route

      http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Transfer-News-Liverpool-s-Milan-Jovanovic-is-a-target-for-Cologne-and-Hamburg-article653999.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

Liverpool flop Milan Jovanovic is being hunted by German sides Cologne and Hamburg.

The Serbian striker has failed to fire at Anfield and is one of the men Roy Hodgson is expected to move on in the transfer window.

But the Bundesliga outfits are both aware of his form for his country and believe he could thrive in Germany.

Jovanovic was one of the players that looked unimpressive during Wednesday’s Europa League bore draw with FC Utrecht.

He managed to hit the bar with one long-range drive but disappeared out of the game and was subbed.

The hitman has yet to score a Premier League goal for the Reds in his four top- flight starts.

I still want to know what Milan has so done wrong?

Especially as someone else on big wages and was signed on a free in the summer has done F**k-all yet seems to be getting backing from the manager.

      Maybe it's because he's English!!

I'd let him go personally, from the little I've seen of him at Liverpool, I've honestly seen better Sunday League players.

i actually think he has been harshly treated at Liverpool, surely be to F***ing god that lad should have been given time to adapt especially since he is coming from the Belgian league

Its not the adapting I worry about Corbally, its the fact when he runs with the ball his head goes down and he runs into blind alleys and has no end product.

Ya I see that when he runs with the ball his head is down, everything with him is 100 miles per hour stuff.

Don't think he is that good a player but think he deserve more a chance. Like at times Hodgson bringing Aureilo on at left midfield

I personally think the jury is still out on Jova. True he's been a let down but he may just be one more player who would shine in an attack-minded team.
Get rid of Roy first, then we can start to judge players.

Still feel the same about him, when he gets a chance, which isn't very often, he starts off on fire but after 15 minutes you don't notice him on the pitch.

Looking at it this way, i think we should sell.

Do we see him being more than a bit part player? Will he play part in any future success? Is he worth what we're paying him?

All of them, i'm leaning towards no so he can leave.

LIVERPOOL will allow Milan Jovanovic to leave in the New Year – with Germany the likely destination for the Serbia international.

Jovanovic only arrived at Liverpool in the summer on a free transfer from Belgian side Standard Liege having agreed a deal with former Anfield manager Rafael Benitez earlier in the year.

But the 29-year-old has grown frustrated at his lack of top-flight opportunities under Hodgson, and last month indicated he would review his situation in January.

While a regular in the Europa League campaign, the Serb forward and has made only four Premier League starts, the last of which came at Birmingham City in September.

And it appears likely Jovanovic, who has scored just twice this season, will depart when the transfer window reopens next month, with Liverpool willing to entertain offers in the region of £3million.

The news will alert a number of clubs including Bundesliga duo Cologne and Hamburg, who are both known admirers of the player. (Liverpool Daily Post)

I have mixed feelings about this.  He certainly hasn't done much of anything to prove he is worth keeping, but then he hasn't exactly been given many chances to do so either.  He looks full of energy when he plays, and has great pace!  I would like to see him played up front with Nando for a few games in place of Ngog so we can see what he can do.  If he gets a run of 4-5 games, and still doesn't cut it, then get rid of him....

100% Rep. Like Hodgson says himself; they ain't his players - I assume, by that, he meant they don't fit into his ideas of how football should be played or his tactics. Which, let's face it, should be consigned to a bygone era and a teams trying to avoid defeat/relegation.

This was bound to happen. We signed him only because we were in cash crunch at that time and now with money to spend we should be targeting better players.
