      Dec 23, 2010 07:23:41 am
Every year on the box some of the most classic films are shown, some are sad some happy and some that will bring a tear to the eye.
What is the best movie you like to see around Christmas.

I religiously watch Die Hard every Boxing Day, not strictly a Xmas movie, but a movie set at Xmas.

Ho-ho-ho, now I have a machine gun too.

Definitely agree with the first two Home Alone's. Always look out for them in the Christmas TV schedule.

I always watch The Santa Clause for some reason.

Oh and It's a Wonderful Life.  One of the most powerful films ever made.

Not really a feature film but my favourite for nostalgic reasons has to be the animated short The Snowman:

      The Snowman (1)
      The Snowman(2)
      The Snowman (3)

       :D

Watched that one every year around christmas as a kid, and I loved it! Kind of always stuck with me.
Last few years I've watched it with my brother's kids every christmas, continuing the tradition there, they love it too!

Besides that, Die Hard for sure!

Miracle on 34th Street is excellent.

      The Muppets is a classic.

      Santa Claus 1 and 2.

Jingle all the Way for comedy reasons - Arnie just can't act!

      National Lampoons Christmas Vacation!

Top of my list. Love this film and we always watch it as a family.

Other than that, we make a point of watching Scrooged, A Christmas Story, Miracle, The Grinch (Jim Carrey) & Love Actually. My wife loves the Santa Clause movies and I watched them properly for the first time this year. Not half bad and Tim Allen is pretty funny.

There's a bunch of TV shows that we watch here, too, mostly for nostalgia...Rudolph, Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, Charlie Brown Xmas & a few more.
