Twice in close succession now that Gerrard has come off the bench and totally dominated the game. Interesting.

No it hasn't. NESV are still actively searching for a new manager.

      Anyways, let's enjoy the win!!!

That, and you can't tell me he set up the team for today. No way would he play attacking football.

Gerrard to play behind the striker? i think if we play 433 with          Lucas                  That trio can be dangerous.

Goal was not offside as someone suggested, came off the defender, but STILL even if cole was 5yards off we'll take it with the luck we had lately
gerrard was amazing , and torres was good in the second comparing to the 1st

Is it normal that I can't enjoy this win like I should enjoy it? It's got a bad taste when you see this win as another chance for Hodgson. Seriously, I can't believe that he fired the team up, Torres and Gerrard probably took the lead.

Cole on the right, Maxi on the left. Been the team i've been saying since the start of the season if we are going to change formation.

Reina : 7 saved our arse several times in second half, couldn't do a lot for the goal
Aurelio : 4 not worse than Konchesky, but not far better in this match
Agger : 5 need more matches to be back to his best, but not bad
Skrtel : 3 bad marking bad passing
Johnson : 4,5 has some responsability for the goal but globally a little better than Aurelio
Lucas : 5 average match, wasn't far to score but also made useless faults
Mereiles : 5? not showed a lot in the few minutes he played
Kuyt : 4,5 too slow as usual, but showed fighting spirit
Maxi : 6,5 well placed, not missed by far his two chances
N'Gog : 6 some bad controls but created real danger with several passes
Torres : 6,5 tried far more than in previous matches (had a far better service too), unfortunately still far under his level ; but scored one at least

Gerrard : 8 MotM for me, perhaps played a little too often for Torres, making his game easy to read out of that perfect
Cole : 5? was where he should be to score, not noticed if he touched the ball out of that
      Kyrg : unnoted

Man of the match? Not enough of an accolade for Gerrard. Boss, double boss, and triple boss. Ably supported by Lucas, and backed up by Reina at the back but they didn't come close to Gerrard. Superb, superb, superb.

      I'm just so happy.

Actually thought Lucas had a shocker today. At least around our own penalty area the lad just wouldn't get F***ing rid and played us into trouble on several occasions. Still, just a bad game nothing by it.

Johnson still looks shaky and liable to do things like the misplaced pass to Klasnic all the time. Aurelio was good on the left, shame he gave away the foul for their goal. Finally, thought Maxi got into some good positions, including our second, and made a nuisance of himself. Even Kuyt had a decent attacking game.

Our passing looked good going forward at times, specially second half, but I still don't think we're assured at the back, especially without Mascherano sitting in front of them.

Great win. More fight and attacking play there than I've seen all season. Gerrard was immense.

Roy Hodgson stuck with a poor Konchesky until he couldn't repeat putting him in the first 11 again. The same crap he did with Poulsen.

I feel sorry for him; but he needs to wake up and smell the coffee!
