Brilliant album. It's officially out at the end of the month, but it's been leaked (since only yesterday). Being a big fan of AM i had to download it now, but as with all my favourite bands and artists, I'll still buy a hard copy when it's released.

First listen, I wasn't into it at all, but after 2 or 3 plays more, it's really grown on me.
They played a few of the songs from it on Jools Holland the other night. Which is on iplayer or any tv catchup service now btw.

Don't want to post the download link here but if anyone is after it, pm me.

2011 stuff I've enjoyed so far:
      Cut Copy - Zonoscope (AOTY)
      Tim Hecker - Ravedeath, 1972 (runner-up)
The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart - Belong (3. place)
      Tyler, the Creator - Goblin
Nicolas Jaar - Space is Only Noise
PJ Harvey - Let England Shake
      Radiohead - King of Limbs
And So I Watch You From Afar - Gangs
      Burial & Four Tet & Thom Yorke - Ego/Mirror
      Destroyer - Kaputt
PJ Harvey - Let England Shake
      Lykke Li - Wounded Rhymes
Explosions in the Sky - Take Care, Take Care, Take Care
The Joy Formidable - The Big Roar

      Stuff I was dissapointed with:
…And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead - Tao of the Dead
Arms And Sleepers - Nostalgia For The Absolute
Mogwai - Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will
      James Blake - s/t
The Strokes - Angles (how horrifying)

      Looking forward to:

      Death Cab for Cutie
      The Vaccines
      Vetiver
      Justice
      Bondage Fairies
      Phoenix
      How to Destroy Angels

A decent year for music this was
EDIT:added bunch of albums, I'm really forgetful these days

For anyone interested in rocky kinda blues:

Rory Gallagher: Notes from San Francisco

Album has only been released now but was recorded in the 70s, At the time he felt musical taste had changed and didnt think it would go down well. He has since died and his family think its time for the recordings to surface.
This guy is the greatest musician ever to come out of Ireland and is a contender for best ever but never gets credit he deserves IMO.

Here is a link to watch a live video of him, its not from the album but a cracker none the less Rory Gallagher - A Million Miles Away Irish Tour 1974

Comes highly recommended he has a sh*t load of albums something for everyone if your willing to sift through all the albums

Well worth a listen. ...especially for you 'Indie' lovers (tho' American 'Indie' always pisses all over Brit-Pop).

A beautiful post-rock concept album about Laika's journey to the outer space. Easily one of the best records this year.

Miles Kane has a boss little album out and is currently touring with The Arctic Monkeys. Used to be in a band with Alex Turner too.

Not that it matters but is a Scouser too.

      Miles Kane - Come Closer

He had his own band before joining up with Turner too, The Rascals, made some good songs.
